ALBUQUERQUE (KASA) – It looks like kids will make healthy choices when they’re available to them.
A new study says if concession stands offer healthy foods, they will sell. Researchers at the University of Iowa stocked a local school district’s concession stands with healthy snacks like apples and string cheese. Sales were fine and profits even went up a bit.
Of course, the junk food still sells, but the school says kids are responding well to having a choice.
