Invitational challenges students' culinary skills

ALBUQUERQUE (KASA) – The New Mexico Prostart Invitational puts high school students to the test with everything from testing their knife skills to seeing what kind of culinary masterpieces they can create.

The invitational was this last weekend.

Here to talk with Elizabeth Alvarez about how it went is Victor J. Martinez, education director for the New Mexico restaurant association, Unna Valdez, culinary arts educator for Sandia High School, along with some of the culinary extraordinaire students who competed – Gabriel Perez and Kevin Zima.
