Is the most unique, detailed, well designed room for comfort & function that I’ve ever stayed in. Lights that dim, including the bathroom, smart speaker for music, entertainment, and information. Highly recommended for the location, rate, and ease of checking in. Would definitely stay again.

The Hotel Castro was filled with surprise and delight moments. It has all the amenities you need and many you didn’t know you needed until now - like using refillable glass bottles at their purified water station instead of adding more disposable plastic into the world. It is in the most ideal and walkable location. From their rooftop deck and Libby bar to the beautiful grocery store right across the street to the incredibly historic neighborhood - this self-controlled experience is one for the books. While I never saw the staff, I communicated with them via text nonstop. There was no doorman, but the codes always worked. There was no daily housekeeping, but there was always a maid around to get more towels. (I didn’t need any!) and did I mention the room had a balcony you could step out on and people watch, scan the history of 18th, and just kind of feel like you’re in the center of one of the most culturally rich neighborhoods in the world.
