Kasa Altmayer Savannah

Ignore the negative reviews! Seriously… this place is incredible. The building is in the heart of downtown Savannah and a few steps outside of the building leads right into one of the squares to sit on a park bench and enjoy coffee. You are quite literally in the heart of everything and won’t need to Uber or drive at all. Everything is walkable. There is a CVS next door incase you forgot any essentials and several food options on the block, including a few coffee shops. As far as sightseeing, you are a 5 minute walk from the old cemetery, in the middle of several squares, a 2 minute walk ins to the shopping district and about 10-15 minute walk to Forsyth Park. The unit itself was adorable, cozy, and clean. There were no weird smells as another review mentioned and everything was comfortable. Our view was of the church and you might be charmed by the church bells every 15 minutes. Someone complained about there being no gym or couch or dressers in the unit, well duh. Nowhere on the listing does it mention having a gym. You don’t need one! You’ll be walking a lot. There is a closet in the main hall with extra stuff if you need it. There was an in-unit laundry too. There is a parking garage nearby that cost us $15 for the entire weekend and we didn’t need to use the car at all while there due to the walkability. Overall I can’t recommend this place enough. There are no on-site staff and you’ll be sent a code to access the building and your room, so if this is something you’re uncomfortable with, maybe consider that before booking.. however we preferred this option. We will definitely be booking again!

These Kasa units are a full floor of a mixed used commercial building. The pic of the unit on air bnb was different then what we got. Still nice, but not as “interior decorated” as pic. HUGE unit with industrial feel. Concrete floor and walls so it was perfect with our large dog (lab). Full kitchen although minimally stocked. Small 2 person kitchenette table. Standard bathroom. Washed and dryer in unit which is nice. Enter through a small lobby that services the Kasa units, medical offices and executive suites. Lobby and elevators were not well maintained. The same crumbs and dirt on floors the entire 4 days. Unit is code entry and was clean. EXCELLENT location in center of historic area. Safe and can walk everywhere. Zero parking so unloading sucked. We dumped everything in sidewalk while the other person parked. Garage is 2 blocks away. We used the spot finder app Kasa recommends and it was awesome although you couldn’t go in and out of garage if you prepay. $28 for 24 hours.

A comfortable and quiet apartment with a great location Likes: We had a spacious, quiet apartment room with great location. Very tidy and comfortable. Also the bed was excellent. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also very nice. I’m usually very picky but this was a great spot! We would definitely stay here again in the future. Dislikes: The kitchen could have a few more forks and spoons. Also some more surface space in the room and a few more hooks in the bathroom would be nice. We had a room without a couch; having one in the room would be a great addition as there is plenty of space for that. But these were very minor issues for us.
