Overall, we enjoyed our stay and thought the location was great. The neighborhood was very nice, the people we encountered in the community were friendly, and the property is very close to the highway, which made getting around really convenient. It was a nice area to stay in and we had a good time overall.
That being said, there are a few things I think future guests should be aware of. The unit is on the third floor, which I don’t remember being clearly mentioned when booking. The home had the basics, but it was definitely pretty minimal. There is no TV in the bedroom, the couches were not the most comfortable, and the freezer did not seem to freeze very well.
When we arrived, the front door to the unit was unlocked. Both toilet seats were also loose/broken, and there were some cleanliness concerns. We found long hairs in one of the tubs, and there were stains on the bedding/mattress in one of the bedrooms that appeared to be some type of bodily fluid. I obviously can’t say exactly what it was, but it was concerning from a cleanliness and biohazard standpoint.
The hosts were responsive when we brought things to their attention, and maintenance did come and fix the toilet seats. We were not given notice that someone was on the way, however, so it just happened that someone was at the unit when they arrived.
There is also a noise monitoring sensor in the home. We received a message at one point letting us know the noise level was high. It wasn’t an issue for us and was completely unintentional, but I think it’s worth mentioning so future guests are aware that noise levels are monitored.
Overall, the location and neighborhood were probably the biggest positives for us, and communication was responsive. I’m sharing the rest simply to give an honest picture of our experience and some things I would have appreciated knowing before booking.
