Absolute dream location for our weeklong family vacation in St. Louis! You’re easily within 10-15 minutes of downtown, and 5ish minutes to all the attractions in Forest Park. Designated parking in the garage is helpful too.
Check in/checkout was a challenge for us as one of the residents had reserved the elevator to the parking garage. One of the building staff eventually assisted us by manually overriding the elevator controls so we could bring our things up to the right floor. At checkout, the building’s one luggage cart was in use by someone else, so we had to make several treks with our things to load the car again. Not the end of the world.
The kitchen is sufficiently stocked to prepare a few meals (no blender or toaster), including oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and extra supplies like dishwasher tabs, etc. Beds are comfy and there is plenty of storage in closets, kitchen, etc.
This rental (apt 428) could easily be a 5 star review if not for the awful couch and dining room chairs. When I read reviews that criticized the furniture, I thought: “Maybe they just aren’t IKEA people.”
The first time I sat on the sofa, I immediately knew what the reviewers meant. The couch is extremely uncomfortable. When you sit on it, the bottom of the sofa actually slopes down as if you’re sliding off of it. The dining room chairs are cheap ones from IKEA and 2 of 4 were literally not usable. As in, my 6 foot tall husband sat in one and immediately jumped back up because it wasn’t safe.
I honestly expected more from a rental that’s over $2k for a week. I did reach out to Kasa about the dining chairs but nothing was done once it was referred to the local maintenance team.
Otherwise, the Kasa staff was very responsive to other questions during our stay.
Overall, the location and amenities are great—- Just upgrade to a better quality couch and dining room chairs so families can actually enjoy the living room space.
