Kasa Lantern Lower East Side

100% recommend I love this place. Top tier location on LES. The rooms are so much more spacious than a regular hotel. The bed and sheets are very comfortable. Virtual front desk was able to provide extra hangers and a steamer. The shower is excellent. 100% will be staying here again.

We were torn between a hotel and Airbnb since we didn’t want to share a bedroom or bathroom with strangers, and Kasa Lower East Side ended up being a solid choice. Great location—close to the subway with tons of food and bars—and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. The downside—and the reason for my “Kasa for Concern”—is the front desk–less system. I’m usually all for minimal interaction, but if something needs immediate attention, it’s frustrating. Our room lost power on day one, communication was slow, and at one point we were locked out and waiting at a nearby bar. The TV is casting-only and Wi-Fi was slow, so bring an HDMI cable if you plan to watch TV. Front rooms are smaller but brighter and more private. Larger rear rooms face residential buildings and feel less private. Shoutout to Ronnel and Celine for helping resolve things. Overall, clean, affordable, and worth it—I’d stay again, just request a front-facing room.
