10/10 Exceptional

I stayed here last month while in town for work for a long weekend. I felt my stay was absolutely perfect for my needs. I stayed in a standard queen room with private bath. The room was simple but clean and had everything I needed. I was especially impressed by the coffee tokens for the adjoined coffee shop. They were an awesome touch and the coffee was excellent! The lobby was clean and the atmosphere was a great boho vibe. The communal space was also clean and quiet, allowing me to get work done when needed. The space was quiet overnight, I was never awoken by anyone else during my stay. And the location is absolutely fantastic. Close to a variety of wonderful shops and restaurants and only one block away from Powells. I will be staying here each time I fly out for work over the next couple of years.

Comfortable, charming, and a very good value Charming and spacious--our king suite was so comfortable we almost didn't want to leave every morning to go experience Portland! It's a great location to get on transit to go to other parts of the city. (I would not recommend bringing a car--parking is irritating to navigate in downtown.) The folks at the front desk were super helpful, the cleaning crew do an awesome job, and one night we ordered room service and it hit the spot.

This hotel is absolutely adorable and conveniently located in downtown Portland. We were able to walk almost everywhere, which made exploring the city really easy. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, but be aware that they are on the smaller side. One thing to keep in mind is that some of the standard queen rooms have the shower located outside of the bathroom. This setup can feel a little awkward if you’re traveling with someone and would prefer more privacy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a lot of charm, the location is fantastic, and we felt it was definitely worth the price. We would happily stay here again!

This was a great and affordable place to stay. I agree with many of the other, if you stay here, remember that it is historical and so the AC is not as strong as something modern. But they do have fans on site so make sure you request one of those if you run hot. And because it is in the cities, remember that it will be wild sometimes at night and there will be unknown sound, but they do provide your pugs and white noise machine that helps. Overall great stay friendly staff, and very helpful to all be requested.

My stay at Kasa was great! I was able to contact the staff quickly and get an issue resolved quickly. The hotel is right in downtown, steps from powell’s books if you love books. It was close to transportation, restaurants, etc. it is a historical building so the ac was set to 67, it wasn’t bad considering I was out most of the time so it was fine at night. The coffee shop attached was also a huge plus! Would stay here again, especially as a solo traveler it was perfect for me.

Getting around

Downtown Portland is a walkable area with plenty of transportation options, making it easy to explore without renting a car. While The Clyde does not offer on-site parking, the city's extensive public transportation system, including bus service, the MAX Light Rail, and the Portland Streetcar, provide excellent alternatives. Additionally, rideshare services are readily available, and you can rent bikes or electric scooters for convenient travel.

From The Clyde, the nearest rail lines and bus stops are less than 0.2 miles away. The MAX Red Line offers direct service to and from Portland International Airport, while the Portland Streetcar connects you to downtown, the Pearl District, and other popular areas. Considering these transportation options during your stay will enhance your Portland experience.
