Beautiful, Comfortable, Convenient! Beautiful loft rooms in an old spinning mill. Very beautiful modern interior, extremely comfortable, very thoughtful amenities in the room. Great views of the dam. Next to an excellent German food restaurant.Would absolutely stay here again!

Very cool recently updated property in an old mill with very high ceilings and exposed brick. Everything was super clean. Our room was more like a suite with a separate bedroom and a sitting area(both with TV's). Small fridge and microwave perfect for storing drinks and heating up leftovers. Bathroom was large and modern. Few things to note - this is an unstaffed hotel so all communication is via text. Also there is no coffeemaker in the room - there is a kettle and coffee and tea bags, but the on-site restaurant has coffee and opens at 7AM.

Such an amazing experience, cool atmosphere from the moment you walk up to the entry door! Loved the room and the high ceilings, bathroom was really unexpected in the best way. Need are incredibly comfortable. All the other lithe things like an ambient sound machine and ear plugs for sleeping. Quality shampoo, conditioner etc. Just a really relaxing place. Definitely worth the price!

This is in a stunningly well-restored old mill building right on the Kennebec River. The rooms are big and bright. The restoration's level of detail is incredible. And the Birtgarten next door is excellent. Highly recommend.

8/10 Very good

The reason for the low service rating is that everything is virtual (which I was comfortable with) so we had no service, nor did we require any after they sent us the check in codes. Rooms were huge and clean and beds were comfortable. I would recommend a Keurig for the room, instead of the electric teapot (which leaked from the platform bottom). We were there for a wedding at Grace Lake which was only 35 minutes away, so highly recommend for guests of that venue. They are strict on the 4pm check in, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great place to stay if you find yourself in Skowhegan, Maine or surrounding area.
