The Boardwalk hotel on Lake Anna is a hotel I would recommend to people traveling to Lake Anna. The rooms and general facilities are very new, clean, and well equipped (the room had a nice size refrigerator, higher end soap/shampoo/lotions in the bathroom, and plenty of pillows and blankets). The bed was conformable, the climate control was strong, and there is also a convenient supply room on the 4th floor with fans, toothbrush/shave kits, towels, extra soap, and a vacuum). To address some comments I've seen in reviews, while the room doesn't have a microwave, there was a common microwave and kitchen supplies (plates, utensils, napkins). The comments about noise are somewhat true, the walls are a bit thin, but ear plugs and a nice white noise machine were provided. For context, we stayed off season and the hotel was largely empty. The check in process was very easy, a code will be texted to you and will be used for general building access and room access. The hardest part of the check in process is uploading a digital copy of your license (but if you have access to a scanner it's not that bad, I'd just suggest scanning the front and back of your license ahead of time).
