The hotel seems brand new or newly renovated. The room was spotless, beds were extremely comfortable, and lots of little extras that make a big difference-a noise machine and earplugs for better rest, multiple convenient ports by the night stands for charging, new appliances (fridge/micro). Great communication, check in/out was a breeze with the texted codes, and parking was conveniently right across the street in a private lot. Great location-very short (2-3 walk) to all the restaurants/shops on E. Front St. Would 100% stay here again.

It was very easy to check in and self explanatory. They will send you a link to upload your ID and choose a method for incidental damages. I chose the $250 refundable method and provided a credit card. You have the option to pay $50 for parking but honestly, the parking garage is a block away and it's $25 overnight. We chose to get the parking ourselves. The link they send you gives you detail by detail instructions (and pictures) on how to get to the property as well as where to go and how to get inside. They put a lot of work into it and I appreciate that. I'm always nervous about going to unfamiliar places. Their guide was very helpful. As for the room, think hotel. It was very clean inside and had the space of a hotel room with 2 queen beds. We had a party of 3 and there was plenty of space. As someone else had mentioned, I do wish there was some kind of little table to sit at. We ordered pizza and sat on the floor as to not dirty the white bedding. The bathroom was nice and had bottled soap and lotion at the sink. They smelled very nice. We did not use the shower as we were headed to the beach for the day and would shower afterword, so I can not comment on that. It looked nice though. The room was in a great location and walkable to pretty much everything downtown. We even walked over to the beach by taking the tunnel. Overall, very nice place to stay and we would stay again.

Building is brand new. Suite was Even More spacious than expected, 😀which is nice. View of the water on 4th floor was a plus. Could open windows get fresh air and hear gulls (the “sound trac of beach vacations for me). Location was outstanding. Lovely space, kitchen had Tea bags and several coffee pods, sweetener, to get you going. Stylish coffee maker and tea kettle. Little gift basket too, with snacks & water was also nice touch. Nice surprise for those with modern electric transportation was that the Larry Hardy Parking structure a block away has 7 good free! level 2 chargers (7kW) and is the rare location that permits parking overnight. Also the even closer to the building is parking lot T(?) with four 11kW chargers (for $). This was likely the very best place we’ve stayed at in TC. Been coming up to TC ever other year since 2000. 👍

Great place for 3-4 people or a small family. Very clean, great location - close to restaurants, coffee, the beach - and nice having laundry and a kitchen. Was able to bring my dog for a $55 fee, which was worth it. Only down side is parking, though there is an overnight garage a block down, $25/day. Would stay again!

Best location in town! Chose it for the competitive price and pet-friendliness but discovered it is the perfect location in downtown Traverse City. We walked up and down State and Fronts Street and paused at the beach to breathe in the breeze and enjoy the sailboats for a few moments…aaaah! Evening hours on the rooftop was a nice and relaxing way to wind down with the view and nearby musical entertainment. Very pleased with ease of check-in/out. The only hiccup was availability of overnight parking so we opted to bite the bullet and add it to our room fees. Still one of the best overall combined prices in town! We would love to go back soon and stay here again!

Getting around

Downtown Traverse City offers excellent walkability and bike-friendly infrastructure, boasting an 84 Walk Score and 85 Bike Score, making it easy to explore the area on foot or two wheels. Guests can also take advantage of the Traverse Area Recreation Trail (TART)—a well-maintained, 10.5-mile paved path that runs from Acme Township into the heart of the city, ideal for walking, jogging, or cycling.

Having a car is the best way to get around, especially if you want to explore beyond downtown and see more of the city. Public transportation and ride-share services are also available. Covered paid parking is conveniently available at The Hardy Parking Structure, located just one block east on State St. It’s within easy walking distance and offers long-term permits. Street parking is also available in the surrounding area.

For those traveling by air, the Cherry Capital Airport is conveniently located just 4.5 miles from Boardwalk Suites & Residences, ensuring quick and easy access to your accommodations.
