Really modern and clean place. I couldn’t get the check-in code to work, so I called the service number and got it figured out within 2 minutes.

We decided to make a last minute trip and Kasa was a great place to stay in Des Moines. It is a great location and we walked everywhere for the trip. It was incredibly clean and felt COVID-safe. The building was quiet. The place was just as described and it was nice to have a full kitchen for meals. The only thing was sort of weird/inconvenient was that the bedroom walls don't go all the way to the ceiling. The place has an echo with noise and noise carries easily. It is hard to have a quiet/dark bedroom if someone else is still awake. Even with that though, we would definitely stay again!

We loved this place. Highly recommended. It was super clean, quiet and had every amenity we could have asked for. Any time we had a question or concern, we got quick and friendly responses. The only head's up I would give to people is to know that in the small 1 BR unit, the walls to the bedroom do not extend all the way up to the ceiling, so the sound carries between the living room and bedroom. Also, for those looking for a desk space, there is only the small dining table to use. There is a parking garage located around the corner that charges $1/hour with a cap of $10/day. We will definitely come back and stay here again.

Great stay!

This place was SPARKLING clean. Has a wide open, modern, industrial feel but with plenty of thoughtful touches to make it feel cozy too. The only thing to keep in mind, which I didn't realize before renting, is that the walls in the bedrooms only extend 3/4 up to the ceiling, leaving a sizable gap for noise to flow from the bedrooms and into the main living space (and vice versa). Would not have been bad with just 1 person, but we had a baby with us and it caused her crying at nighttime to echo throughout the whole place. Otherwise, this place is fantastic - great location, parking nearby in the garage across the street, close to everything, felt very safe, and definitely recommend staying here!

The price and location was perfect and the rental was above expectations. The contactless check-in and check-out was perfect for the current environment the nation is in. The apartment was super clean and had everything you needed to operate/ live as if you were home. The email communication of the Kasa team were on point and direct for adhering to their house rules, however as a grown middle-aged adult, I didn’t like the constant “reminders” of the no smoking, no party and quiet hour rules. I understand the reasons why, but I thought it was overkill., just “fine” the violators! The actual building has a parking garage for regular tenants of the building, however Kasa does not provide its renters with a space therefore you’ll have to park on the street and either pay the meter as we did or park in a public garage that cost $1 per hour. The meter was perfect as you do not have to pay between 9PM - 9Am and free on Sunday! Overall it was a great stay!

A Beautiful place. We were able to walk easily to where we needed to go. Felt safe snd secure. The king bed was amazing! The KASA staff was quick to respond to our questions! Would definitely stay again.

Space was much larger in person! Well decorated and comfortable with a nice view of a beautiful church downtown. Would definitely recommend this place - great location and excellent hosts!

This airbnb was in a great location downtown and super easy to find. We spent the weekend walking to lots of fun outdoor places in downtown Des Moines. For how high the cleaning fee was for the apartment, the level of cleanliness when we arrived was unimpressive with dirt on stools and dirty towels not removed from the apartment. During our stay we encountered an issue with the apartment complex's front door not opening with the keys provided or the door code. We eventually got back in because our keys worked for the side door, but the issue just added to the overall experience. The layout of the apartment with the bedroom walls not going to the ceiling meant that if someone wanted to go to bed before others, they were hearing the TV and all conversations in living room. If it was just a couple staying it would be great! Was it a fine airbnb for our trip because we booked last minute? Yes. Would I pick a different place downtown next time? Also yes.

Spectacular stay! From the perfect location to the roominess and comfort, Kasa checked all the boxes! In the middle of a pandemic, it was great to be able to make our own food and even host a couple friends for dinner. This was an amazing stay and, We will be back!

Very clean, new place. Parking was in a garage a 1.5 minute walk away. It is $1 an hour not to exceed 10 at a time. The place seems brand new, totally spotless. The bed is bad. Very hard for out liking. Others might like this. The sheets and towels are nice. We were on first floor right by the intersection. Kinda noisy at times, but the town seems shut down. I would not stay there again b/c of the bed. Everything else was great. Parking was easy and not to much $ and the neighbors were mostly quiet. Location was amazing. Everyplace we went was a 10 min drive. Very clean!!!

This is a beautiful place within walking distance of the Wells Fargo Arena as well as a parking garage and several restaurants. This was my second stay with Kasa in this same building. Both units were very nice with plenty of room to spread out. Both units were very clean!

An embarrassment for AirBnB on communication from representatives from Kasa. Booked a space at Carbon 550 apartments in downtown Des Moines on Sunday evening for a Monday afternoon check-out. Booking went through just fine and was set to go on Monday August 3rd and checking out on Friday August 7th. I have stayed at this same location two times prior and looks like the same space I stayed last time; apartment 120 facing the Catholic church across the street. An employee of Kasa emailed me early on Monday the 3rd letting me know that I needed to cancel my booking as they truly didn't have space available for me. Happy to send all of the email communication that I have between Kasa and myself yesterday; very easy to send along if this will help someone at AirBnB understand why I was able to book a room on your platform and then not 12 hours later someone from Kasa said I would need to cancel this and I would be refunded 100% on this. Have only see a partial credit that I can also send along; haven't seen anything close to a 100% credit like an employee of Kasa told me via email. I checked multiple times yesterday on space on Mon Aug 3 - Fri Aug 7, two separate locations in Carbon 550 via Kasa showed as available. I would send another message via AirBnB to Kasa and someone would tell me this isn't available and they would get this corrected. I found another space with a host that is reputable, doesn't put out false information and doesn't lead someone along thinking they have a place to stay when they don't. The last email communication that I received from an employee at Kasa said there is a "system issue" taking place; didn't state if this was an AirBnB issue or a Kasa issue. Am happy to send along me email communication so this can be reviewed. I have stayed in this location twice prior; Carbon 550 is managed by Newbury Group. We have an employee in this area that rents a place from Newbury Group; very disappointing to see their location lose revenue for this week as someone or different people with Kasa are very poor representatives and their communication is below average at best. More than happy to discuss further in email as I have all of the messages but I am sure AirBnB does also as it was on their platform, not a Kasa platform. Carbon 550 is a great locale in the heart of downtown and is extremely comfortable space with anything needed; everything great about Des Moines is within walking distance. My review has nothing to do with Carbon 550 as I loved my two recent stays there but Kasa is giving them a very bad look at least with me. Highly recommend that any and all stay at Carbon 550 but just avoid Kasa where ever they have locations on AirBnB for rent; Kasa isn't the only group in Des Moines for sure. Have an awesome day and enjoy your time in Des Moines; great town with the nicest people around.

Very clean, modern, and spacious place. Great location and you can walk to many places around downtown Des Moines. Comfy beds and the place was well stocked with everything you would need.

The condo was perfect for our 7 night stay. It had a very nice kitchen and dining area. The bathrooms were spacious and having an onsite washer and dryer was perfect.

I can’t complain about anything. The location is perfect for anyone looking to walk around the city. The place was very clean and had everything needed to feel right at home.
