Great location for events at the Hollywood Palladium, or an Uber to Universal Studios. The concept of no front desk was new to us; it ended up working out fine but can be a little inconvenient. Hotel management was very responsive by text, however. But the concept of one set of towels per person for 4 nights is a little off-putting. To have to pay for a towel exchange or do our own laundry would prevent us from staying again more than a few nights. Supply closet with extra toilet paper was never replenished. I wish there were more "rules" regarding the doors: you have your own code to get in the main gate, front door, and your room. We'd have other people enter the building with us when we unlocked the doors, and it wasn't clear if they were actually staying there or not. I would have felt more comfortable if there was a large sign stating everyone needs to use their own code to enter. I did see security later at night but they were not at their "post" consistently. Would have felt better if you needed a code to even use the elevator like some Vegas hotels, as that provides better security. This location is not in the best area. We did walk to Target once for supplies and had to dodge human feces on the sidewalk multiple times, but if you stick with the area to the west of the hotel vs. the area to the east, it's a bit cleaner (obviously not the hotel's fault, just helping to set expectations). Overall, we loved the spacious room, mini kitchen, and view from our window. The huge closet area was very convenient for luggage but we did have to live out of our suitcases; maybe some lower shelves or a bureau would be good in there! But you can't beat a 10 minute Uber to Universal without staying right on their property! I'd also suggest the 10 minute walk to The Waffle for breakfast, and The Well for drinks.

Generous space in a great location Great location for a reasonable price (especially for the space!). The room itself was so generous, with full kitchen amenities, a comfortable lounging area, and clean bed and bathroom. We personally had no issues with noise but they kindly provided earbuds just in case. Check-in and check-out were very easy. We had a rental and had paid extra for the garage parking and the staff were quick to help update our reservation with our car information as soon as we had it (all over text). Space felt secure and it was an easy walk to prime breakfast spots and to the walk of fame. Definitely recommend!
