Only place to stay! Beautiful rooms and building, easy access to everything, walkable and has everything we need when we travel to Pittsburgh! We visit our son every other month or and check in easily and having all the comforts makes our stay extra enjoyable. We’ve been coming to town for 7 years and since discovering the Maverick an about a year ago this is where we always stay. I highly recommend the rooms with the claw foot tub. And Caroline is the best at welcoming and making everything special. Thank you!

Su Kasa Mi Kasa We stayed for a weekend in March 2025. Our second trip, and will stay again. Reasonably priced and great location in East Liberty across from the landmark Presbyterian Church. On-street parking. Walking distance from Shadyside. Very clean rooms, huge windows. Recommend 5th floor for best views. 7 room configurations, some really large corner rooms, interior rooms are much smaller, go with your budget. Comfy mattress and sheets. Lovely retro bathroom fixtures and tile, but the bathtub is slippery! Nice snacks and coffee/tea bar in room, but few other amenities. Within 1-2 blocks, great Square Cafe (Belgian waffle!), Lorelai and Kelly's for light food and lively cocktails, young crowd, and the amazing Commerce Bar speakeasy (good luck finding it). Target and other shops 2-3 blocks walk. Oh, and the Hotel bar expected to open in June. Great weekend deal.
