Stayed here for 7 days with my partner and I think It's a great place to stay, especially if you ok with self service. Lots of things are done on your own if you choose to, making check in and out very simple, and anything else needed. We didn't have to interact with anyone during our stay (almost thought we were the only ones in the building until we came when the bar was open). So if you need to check in at 2am for example like we did, it's super simple and quick. No key card to manage either, it uses a pin code system and you can even remotely unlock from the website.
Inside the room we were greeted with a handwritten welcome note, cookies, aluminum water bottles, and other amenities which were a nice touch. Fridge had plenty of space, and a bottle opener on the side, and there were places to store luggage like at the end of the bed.
Another cool thing was that they had a Bevi water dispenser on my floor at least, which was really nice (both sparkling and still, flavored and not, can add electrolytes, caffeine, vitamins, etc) and all for free. Their vending machine they have in the basement level is also cool, and has international snacks, very unique for a vending machine. I love sparkling water, so this was one of my favorite amenities
Only really had three minor issues during my stay: One was that for some reason, in text communications they kept referring to me as someone else, and even sent me a link containing that person's email/info (even after saying I was not this person). I assume this was some technical error that shouldn't effect anyone else, however it was definitely weird, and happened multiple times, but seems like some tech issue/accidental one off thing if anything, but thought it was worth mentioning.
The other thing that's pretty minor is the shower was slightly unintuitive, especially since it took so long to actually get hot. Making it more clear somehow would make it perfect, but I eventually figured it out for the most part, but my partner kept having issues with the water and wasn't able to figure it out themselves. But again, since this building is historic, this might be fine as well (again, you shouldn't be expecting modern stuff, but we were presently surprised with everything else!)
Last minor issue was that the TV was having issues and couldn't actually play anything like anything on Amazon prime, even though it was "working". After personally investigating, their HDMI cable was plugged into the wrong thing, so we were able to fix this, however I can see this could be confusing to some people. The TV was a bit hard to see as well, and could benefit from some upgrades I think, but it does work
The location is also very convenient, especially if you don't have a car. It's a short ~10 min walk from a station that has many buses that go downtown as well, which was perfect for us, since we were staying for a convention being held. There is a Target nearby as well for any shopping you may need. If you want food recommendations, literally right behind the building is Duo's, which is Duolingo's Mexican restaurant which was surprisingly very good (their happy hour tacos were my favorite), and there is Kyuramen which is also really nice (especially if you like Japanese food), and open late.
Overall, highly recommend this place, and I definitely will look into staying at again!
