City activity and construction notice

Not a surprise in New York: You may notice some city activity during your stay. Pine Street currently has ongoing construction nearby, with no estimated completion date at this time. Cedar Street also has regular garbage collection that may occur overnight and at various times throughout the day. While these sounds are part of staying in a lively New York district, we want to make sure you know what to expect so you can settle in comfortably and enjoy your time in the city.

What a great place to stay and truly experience NYC. The location is incredibly convenient, with multiple subway lines and bus stops just a short walk away, making it easy to get anywhere in the city. The property itself is beautiful, and our apartment-style room was spacious, especially by New York standards. It was spotless, comfortable, and made us feel like we were actually living in the city rather than visiting. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great stay. One of my favorite touches was the record player and record collection in the room. I had a great time enjoying some music and the space. It made the stay feel even more memorable. We had no complaints and are already looking forward to coming back.

This is a great place to stay. In a very busy city this was a place I could relax. The unit was very quiet and super clean. The 24/7 attendants at the check-in desk are a great bonus. The virtual support was quick and easy as well. Very secure. Will definitely stay again. Loved having a kitchen!!

Would stay again. Room was great. Extremely clean and looked just like the advertised photos. The full kitchen was a bonus. I also enjoyed the pre-check-in, which allowed heading straight to my room. Lots of food choices around. Not too much to explore, but subways are a quick walk. The only con I would say is the street noise, which is definitely expected in NYC and no fault to the hotel. Other than the constant horn blowing throughout the day/night, my stay was great and I’d book again.

Mint house was a perfect place to stay for my friends and I. We stayed in the king suite which was perfect the room was clean and spacious. There were multiple convenient stores that were walking distance. It was also nice that there was a parking garage nearby as well. This place was definitely worth the price and I will be back again.

Excellent location, great value, and spotlessly clean. The hotel had everything I needed, including a gym, café, and convenient grocery options nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. What made this place truly special was its cozy, artistic atmosphere. The rooms were beautifully designed, featuring a record player with vinyl records that gave the space so much character. Every detail was thoughtfully curated—from the comfortable beds to the lavender sachet and complimentary earplugs. It felt warm, unique, and truly memorable. I would happily stay here again.

Getting around

From Mint House 70 Pine by Kasa, getting around Manhattan is simple and efficient. The subway is usually the fastest option, and nearby Fulton Center offers extensive connections across the city, with easy access to PATH via the World Trade Center area.

Walking is great for sightseeing, though Lower Manhattan doesn’t follow the Midtown grid—so a navigation app can be helpful. For short, scenic trips, Citi Bike is widely available citywide, with day passes and routes along the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway. Buses are useful for crosstown travel, and Select Bus Service offers quicker, limited-stop service on key corridors. For a view from the water, head to Pier 11/Wall Street for NYC Ferry - only a short walk away and the best way to get around (from Manhattan to Brooklyn), or use NY Waterway for routes to New Jersey. Taxis and rideshares are also an easy, convenient option—especially for late nights or door-to-door trips.

If you’re arriving by train, Grand Central Terminal is about 4 miles from 70 Pine and serves Metro-North and the LIRR, with a direct subway ride from Grand Central to the Fulton Street area. If you’re flying in, you may choose from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), 14 miles away, LaGuardia Airport (LGA), 10 miles away, or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), 13 miles away, all reachable by public transit.
