Staying at that hotel is certainly in great part for the experience of a retro feel . The building itself, it’s history since early 1910s, the crackling wood planks (may also have other noises associated with old structures, such as windows vibrating) and every detail in the rooms (old sink and tub, old style windows). It is yet very comfortable, and service is excellent. It is very well located in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood. Pricey, but expected.
