10/10 Stay We enjoyed our stay at The Dexter Hotel. Check-in was simple and contactless. Location was close to all the shops, cafes, the lake, and Elk Ridge golf course. Plenty of parking around the hotel and our room was clean and comfortable! Overall it was a beautiful, quiet space perfect for our weekend trip with friends.

Loved the modern minimalist decor. The room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Our view of the water was great. The one night we spent as we were passing through on our vacation felt like a special retreat. We loved walking to nearby shops and restaurants which were so close by! Awesome hotel we highly recommend and would love to return to!

Staff was welcoming upon arrival, the room was clean, beds comfortable. The room had plenty of storage areas, TV was a snap to work (which can't be said of many places!) and did I mention the bed was comfortable :) The coffee maker was easy to use. Bathroom amenities were great and loved the soft close toilet! Loved the size of the mini fridge in the room...usually don't get one that big and it was useful to us. Didn't get to the lounge this trip, but saw plenty of people who looked they were having a good time! We didn't know The Dexter existed and we are very happy that we found this gem!

The staff is very nice and helpful-they were fun to interact with when coming and going. The rooms are modern and very clean- so nice! The location is walkable to everything in Elk Rapids and parking was a breeze. I love the coded locks so I don’t have to worry about a key or losing a key card, which is extra nice when you are doing water activities in the area. We really enjoyed our stay and Elk Rapids is a gem!

9/10 Excellent

Beautiful hotel in a charming town, perfect for relaxing and exploring the surrounding area. Likes: It’s immaculately presented and well located, with large rooms and comfortable beds. Dislikes: The noise level is quite high and the elevator chimes through the night.
