10/10 Exceptional

I stayed at The Lafayette by Kasa for a couple of nights on a business trip and it was a great home base. The location really can’t be beat—an easy morning walk to the convention center, close to plenty of great restaurants, and right on St. Charles. It was nice being right by Lafayette Square. It’s such a beautiful spot to step outside, take a call, get a little work done, or just enjoy a few minutes outdoors between meetings. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout my stay, and my room had everything I needed to be comfortable and productive. I’m already looking forward to coming back. If you’re visiting for business, a convention, or just want a central location with easy access to the city, this is a great option.

The Lafayette was great. We loved the old time decor and the ease of check in. The room was very clean and all facilities worked great. Most importantly for a visit to NOLA on an August week, the AC was Arctic cold.

A nice cozy hotel with that old new orleans vibe to it , vallet parking was nice and kept our vehicle close nearby in case we needed to use it . The area has lots of good restaurants and cafes close by that you can walk to. The only negative finding is if you have a room facing the street or on the street corner of girod and st.charles you will hear the traffic and trolley cars all night .

Likes: We decided to make a detour traveling from Panama City Florida to Eureka Springs AR and stopped in New Orleans.The Lafayette New Orleans was super comfortable and easy to book at the last moment. The location was great. It was walking distance distance from everything you could need and wanted. Dislikes: Parking was horrible unless you wanted to pay for valet parking.

This hotel was a great location for a great price. Walkability to several nice restaurants and coffee bars. Easy to use valet service, but is an extra charge. Nice complimentary items in the rooms. Overall a great experience!

Visitors will appreciate the convenience of exploring New Orleans while staying at The Lafayette. The surrounding area, particularly the Garden District, is very walkable, featuring sidewalks and scenic paths. Conveniently, the famous St. Charles Streetcar—the oldest continuously operating streetcar line in the world—and the New Orleans Hop-on-Hop-off Bus both stop right across from The Lafayette, making it easy to hop on and explore the city. Be sure to download the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority's Le Pass mobile app, which provides maps with real-time tracking and allows you to purchase tickets for buses, streetcars, and ferries. If you prefer biking, New Orleans has plenty of rental options, including the popular Blue Bikes bike share, with stations located throughout the city. Rideshare services and driving are also great ways to get around, although please note that only paid parking is available at our property. For those flying in, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is just 15 miles away, ensuring your journey to The Lafayette is easy and convenient.
