Overall, this was an okay property. It was fairly clean, the location was good and directly on a streetcar stop, and the room was large. However, it was VERY dark, even with every light on and the blinds open.
We ran into numerous issues.
All service requests are handled by text. Our first request was because the safe did not work and the room was extremely dark. We scheduled a service time, but after they were 15 minutes late with no communication or sign of showing up, we left.
Housekeeping is NOT daily unless specifically requested. At these rates, daily housekeeping should be standard. Even requesting cleaning or fresh towels seemed to put the staff on the defensive and made us feel like an imposition.
We used valet the first night, then found a garage two blocks away with in-and-out privileges for about half the hotel's rate.
Now the big one: when the valet returned our car, Dashboard Jesus was missing.
Yes, Dashboard Jesus.
He was on the dashboard when they took the car and gone when they returned it. He did not disappear on his own. Someone took (stole) him while our car was in the hotel's care.
Overall, "okay" is not good enough at these rates. We will not stay here again and cannot recommend it.
