10/10 Exceptional
Long story short; I am planning to return asap. The weather was extra hot and stormy but, the hotel was cool in every sense of the word. My check-in was a little late because the room was not ready but, I was compensated without even asking. I had a Queen with balcony. Room 230 was very spacious. Fridge, Microwave, coffee maker, big tv, rain water shower and desk. The view was not so great but, I did not request a view when I reserved the room. As usual at Sonder extra amenities and towels etc. Also games, books, and a telescope to enhance your stay. There were wi-fi issues. They were upgrading but communication on that was great. It started working just before I checked. There is a nice seating area out of the sun on the breezeway. More seating outside. The PRIVATE beach is one flight of steps away. Far from the hustle and bustle 12 miles away in Fort Lauderdale. That being said, I was able to stay on the same street A1A and drive down to Fort Lauderdale with easy access to some of the tour boat ports including the Jungle Queen. The valet was quick after all this is not some big crowded hotel. I was told in text that there was a complimentary breakfast but, that was not true. Breakfast was good and plenty at the on-site restaurant. I almost did not eat there for dinner. When I tried to look on line I saw "octopus" and I had decided it was not for me but, I asked to see a menu and noticed several good "normal" options on the lunch and dinner menus. I had a simple burger and fries. The only drawback is I wanted something off the lunch menu but it was unavailable for dinner. Check out was simple. I got my car key the night before because I was leaving at 6am. As I said in the beginning, I will definitely be returning. I am hooked on Sonders.
