The check-in is at 4pm and there is no option for early check-in at this location. Nor is there luggage storage. You’ll need to use Bounce or a similar luggage storage carrier. Additionally, this location DOES NOT have an access code for the building itself nor the room. IT IS A KEY FOB. You’ll have to hope someone is there to let you into the building and the Kasa office to retrieve a key fob for your room. Unfortunately, I didn’t have that option, as there was no one in the physical Kasa office to assist me upon my 4pm arrival. Instead, I had to text and call until someone was finally able to assist me. You have to bypass the chatbot when texting to be connected to an actual human. The chat agent had to get in touch with whomever was supposed to be in the office and tell him to GO to the office because someone needed to check-in.
Additionally, it is clear the actual residents of this building do not approve of empty units being utilized as hotel rooms, as a couple entering the elevator vocalized their displeasure of having random people coming and going from the building. Definitely, not a welcoming moment.
The room itself, does not have a sofa or comfy chairs as pictured on the website. Instead, they have two cheap steel chairs with dusty cushionings and a couple small wooden chairs for the tiny dining table. There is a significant gapped space under the door, which means you’re hearing any and all hallway conversations. My room was directly across from the building maintenance staff; non-stop noise and coming and going. The room itself is clean, spacious, has a fully-equipped kitchen with utensils, cookware, cups and plates. There is also a washer/dryer with detergent.
There is a cleaning charge of $80 but no cleaning happens. It is not a serviced room. You have to dump the trash, and grab any extra towels and toilet paper you may need yourself- from the office no one is consistently in.
Late checkout comes at a whopping $57 for 1pm or $79 for a 2pm check out- although the 4pm check-in is an hour later than hotels. And don’t forget, you miss out on the 4pm check-in for this location due to there not being an access code or someone at their office as scheduled.
There is a $250 deposit or you can fork over a non-refundable $70+ that they keep, as an alternative. There is also a $250 charge per key fob you lose.
This place is a money grab that needs to have keypads if they are going to be a staff-less site. Get a regular hotel and forgo the chaotic uncertainty.
