There was dog hair in the beds and it seemed like the sheets and pillows were not cleaned prior to our entry. Loved the location and the apartment but doesnt seem like the place was properly cleaned before our arrival.

Clean, great location, loved the larger living space for hanging out. Unit is a bit louder, being on a busy street and could hear neighbors constantly walking, shutting doors, etc.

This company puts photos up online of units they already have rented out just to make you feel like you are getting a nice place but when you show up they have you put up in a glorified closet. I booked a stay here not 1 time but twice now because the photos from the page showed me unit 112 but they assigned unit 120 to me instead. 112 is 2x as large as 120. 112 has separate areas for living space dining space and kitchen while 120 has all those in one 150-200 sq ft room. I could open the fridge from the couch in unit 120 whereas 112 I would have to walk 10 feet. They are deceptive with their online booking which is in many ways fraudulent to what you are actually getting. I use to love this place when I was getting assigned the unit I reserved from the photos online but ever since about March of 2022 they have been taking reservations for a larger room and sticking people in the smaller rooms which should cost significantly less. If you don’t have a room available then don’t claim it is available online and sell it some someone only to give them half of what they are buying. Everyone should be very cautious of this place as they have deceived me multiple times since March 2022. I stayed here for a total of 6 times and can also say the quality of the place has decreased significantly over the course of 6 months. It will be a complete dump by next year without a doubt. I would avoid at all cost and look at other options like a company called FRONTDESK which I’ve switched over to using and have been pleased with.

Beautiful apartment with large kitchen. Full size appliances, well stocked with tea and coffee. Near lots of dining and grocery store. Only 2 changes I would make would be a grab bar in the bathrooms. Both had step-over tubs which was a little nerve-wracking for my dad who is in his 80's. Also would have liked a hook in the bathroom for wet towels. But these are minor details. Great staff too!

Super convenient location and the place itself was great. We had 4 guys staying and it was perfect for that number.

Big space with comfortable furnishings and everything you would need to stay for a few days! This was by far the cleanest Airbnb I've ever been in. Check in and check out were both extremely easy and the complex this apartment is in is very nice. The staff we encountered were very friendly, but everything with them was handled via text or the Airbnb app, which i appreciated. Couple of downsides though. This really wasn't actually close to anything. You pretty much had to drive to go to a restaurant or bar, which means you have to go get your car out of the garage nearby since they don't have parking on-site. More annoyingly, the bedrooms have a very dumb design in that above both doors for the bedrooms is just this big opening between them and the ceiling. With the nice wood floors in the unit, this meant every sound, even the closing of a drawer, echoed throughout the whole place. I rented this place specifically to have somewhere to hang out with my wife after we put our child to bed since you can't really do that in a hotel. But we couldn't even have a conversation in the living room without waking her up. If you're traveling alone or just as a couple, obviously not an issue, but parents, just a heads up.

This place was great! One of the best Airbnb stays we’ve had. The walls are pretty thin and you can hear a lot of noises from the floor above you. They provide a noise maker for the master bedroom and earplugs, which is a great touch. Check in process couldn’t be easier! Clean, nice space and in a great location. We were 10 min Uber from the fairgrounds and a short walk to restaurants/bars/coffee. We would stay again!

Lots of road and city noise, as well as paper thin walls. Kasa was kind enough to provide earplugs but definitely something to be aware of. Outside of that, great location and cute little spot.

I highly recommend Kasa Des Moines. The listing is reflective of the apartment. It’s clean, decorated well, spacious, in a good location, and quiet. Additionally they had thoughtful touches like makeup wipes, ear plugs, a noise machine, and snacks upon arrival. Communication was easy. All and all a very pleasant stay! We plan on coming back!

Great communication from the Kasa team. Quick, detailed, and super helpful. I had concerns about the tub-shower for a senior family member, and Kasa provided some accessibility solutions that were waiting for us when we arrived. Clean property with good amenities. Well-stock and functional kitchen. Easy public parking structure right around the corner. *** Note that the 2 bedrooms are interior-only, windowless spaces. This is a new space layout for developers to squeeze more units into a property. Great for blackout sleepers, but a consideration for guests who need natural light cues or are uncomfortable in closed spaces. There is a little gap between the wall and ceiling along the hallway, possibly a design nod to allow the windowless rooms, but it lets in more noise than light into the room. Location is great for all the activities we needed to get to downtown, North side, airport, and Indianola. Would stay again!

Was so clean and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay here, it was very conveniently located to our event that was held at a hotel a few blocks away. It was very clean and had all of the amenities that we needed for our event. Communication from the host was very prompt. The only things that we didn't like was the traffic noise at night, light that filters into bedrooms from the open ceiling, and noisy neighbors upstairs at night. Overall, the stay was good!

This place is great! It has little touches that make it more than just an apartment. Bath bombs, facial wipes, lotion, stocked shower items. It’s very secure. The management is responsive to your needs. I plan to stay with them in another city.

It was very clean, great location and never an issue staying there. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here for a convention at the Iowa Events Center. The location was great, just a couple of blocks away. The first floor apartment was pretty noisy, but not a deal breaker. The apartment was spacious for our family of five. Just wish parking was included. There is street meter parking on the block and a parking garage one block away, so we were able to make it work but felt like we were constantly rearranging cars.

My rating is closer to a 3.5 stars. I booked here a few days before I needed to go because my other airbnb cancelled, and I was glad that I was able to. Checking in was easy besides having to go through the Kasa system check in separately from communicating on airbnb. Responses were fairly prompt though close to and during the trip. My first night here I couldn't sleep well because this room is located a foot from the front door and there were very loud people going in and out for hours until like 2am. The mattress in the "bedroom" (basically a huge gap above the wall because there are no windows for the room) was terribly squeaky and uncomfortable, same with the pull out couch mattress. Worth bringing a mattress topper. The very beautiful large windows let in a ton of light but the blinds didn't block out enough for me to sleep in the next morning after disturbances all night. Need some darkening curtains The place was clean, the keurig worked, and the location was wonderful for where I needed to get to for 2 days. Bathroom and kitchen area were clean and spacious. My priorities though would be a much more comfortable bed and sleeping experience. I was glad to get back home to my bed!

Great place in a convenient spot. Plenty of space for my family to spread out and relax during our 3-4 day long hall tournaments. I have stayed in this apartment several times and will book my future trips here!

Stayed for a week for an event at the HyVee Hall and Wells Fargo Arena! Everything was great. Check-in is super easy and convenient, as well as check out. Lots of extra towels and sheets/pillows. Bathroom is equipped with makeup wipes - 10/10! Walking distance from all restaurants and bars! Great location! Would definitely rebook if my travels take me back to Des Moines

Location here is great! Easily walkable to almost anywhere in Des Moines. Lots of restaurant and bar options nearby. Shipt and door dash have a lot of options here as well. The place was clean. It had a nice balcony. Parking in the nearby structure is easy and reasonably priced. In spite of the issues I will list below, I would stay here again. This is run by a company that owns several properties. It is not the classic friendly Airbnb experience. I did not like that I had to fill out a separate application after booking through Airbnb. They do not send you easily accessible instructions for entry and use of amenities in the listing. Problems: The pull out bed was not usable it was so bad. It was more comfortable to sleep on as a couch. It should not be included as a “bed” in this listing. I arrived and all of the towels had been put away wet. The TV remote didn’t work unless you were standing a foot from the tv. You also have to log into your own subscription services. The towel rack in the master bedroom falls off the wall every time you grab the hand towel off it.

Great stay. We’ll kept and comfortable. Great entertainment within walking distance.

Very clean, well kept place!

Much bigger place than we expected and it was really nicely furnished. All the kitchen supplies you could need and same with basic bathrooms supplies. Parking was made easier with an app called Park DSM to monitor the meters and to add more time to them. Lots of food and bars within walking distance. Only complaint was the bedroom walls didn’t meet up to the ceiling and the noises carried from room to room even with doors closed. If you are traveling with young children you might keep that in mind. The buildings game room was a nice touch.

We knew from other reviews that parking may be an issue but they now have an app that can help you keep track of the meters and set reminders to check your meter. Park DSM is the name of the app. Also if traveling with young children the bedroom walls do not reach the ceiling and the sound travels through the whole place. You can be in the farthest bedroom away from the heavy traffic and still hear it. Location is perfect for events downtown. You can easily walk to restaurants and bars. The place was very nicely stocked with all your basic needs. Very clean and comfortable. Not the most kid friendly place in my opinion but the buildings game room was a nice touch.
