The Airbnb was affordable, clean, and conveniently located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, bars, and attractions.
However, the previous reviews mentioning excessive noise are absolutely accurate. The property is located on a very busy block with loud music, partying, and street noise continuing until around 4 a.m. most nights. Earplugs and a white noise machine are thoughtfully provided.
If you’re a very heavy sleeper who can sleep through a storm, the noise may be tolerable. Otherwise, expect significant disruptions to your sleep.
Overall, this is a good option for travelers prioritizing affordability, walkability, and nightlife, but I would not recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful night’s rest.
