I enjoyed my stay! I was a solo Traveler there just over a week and the space was a good amount for me.The room itself was clean and well kept as well as the amenities downstairs. If you’re looking for a longer term stay this is a good option !

Don’t do it. This property is basically a hostel with shared amenities. Room is passable but safety is a concern. The fire escape is exposed to the street and there was banging at odd hours of the night. I moved to the courtyard down the street and it was actually cheaper, safer and much more comfortable.

Book this place now! We really enjoyed our stay at the San Francisco Kasa location! The location was a solid A rating ~ close to all the best of the citys sights and action but far enough away from the Tenderloin section of the city. The place itself has awesome amenities and supreme charm. The front door steps and the bright blue & white colors of the building set the tone for what's to come. The entry way has adorable mid century seating and a great color pallette. There is a vintage steel door elevator that was fun and romantic to use. The narrow stairways amd steel fire escapes and brick view add the charm in subtle ways. The basement sports a super darling all purpose social room with a tv, tables, chairs, desks, cozy chairs and couches and a kitchen. The height of the bed and bathrooms rooms make them feel spacious and so much natural light. The beds were super comfy and had an assortment of pillows. Room was very clean and we'll stocked. They also accommodated us with an earlier check-in. The entire process and directions were a breeze. Would definitely rebook!

great place to stay. Few Blocks away from union square. there are lots of bars and restaurants around the area. many coffee places close. super secure place! only thing i would say is don't bring your car cause I noticed a lot of car breaks in.

Perfect and easy

Kasa host was very responsive, nice and helpful. However the place is not sound proof at all. The wall was so thin that I could hear clearly footsteps of people walking the stairs and cars on the street. We also had an unfortunate incident that the neighbor dog was barking nonstop for a whole evening. The host was very helpful and helped me solve the issue eventually.

Selling style but no substance. Likes: The location was wonderful. Dislikes: The hotel is more like a hostel. No coffee machine in the room as stated . Only a hand washbasin in the bathroom. Walls and floors paper thin so sound a problem. We paid a lot of money for a room facing the street ( all others face a wall) but the windows are so poor that even on the fifth floor the road noise was a problem.

Perfect for the trip like ours - close to the city centre and the underground station. Likes: Great location, easy access, well-equipped kitchen so we could cook there, everything clean in the room Dislikes: Our room was very dark because there was a fall facing the window

Overall a great location and great place to stay. I’d certainly recommend it. The room and facilities were great and as described. Super clear and very flexible hosts. The only consideration for travelers is there is no A/C so you may need to keep the window open. You are in a city and low to street level so lots of noise throughout the night.

Room met expectations. Facilities are a little dated, but room and furniture were clean. Decent location that is walkable around SF. A couple issues that made this stay less than 100%; 1) they have their steam powered radiators timed for 8:20pm and 5:20am. It becomes really noisy for a few minutes (I have lived in buildings with these radiators and familiar with the noise). The PM one isn’t an issue but the 5:20am is like an alarm every morning. When I raised the issue to support I was told to not be alarmed and that it’s normal. I understand it’s “normal” but it doesn’t stop it from being incredibly noisy and presumably on a timer since it’s the same time every morning! 2) I lost electricity one morning and they weren’t able to resolve that morning. The power in the rest of the building still worked. I was late to work and had to take all my toiletries and get ready in a public bathroom downtown. They did offer a $50 credit for the inconvenience. There is no on site maintenance.

Cute place for the money. Feels like a hotel. Only issue was there was no coffee pot.

This is a solid place to stay for the cost. Centrally located, close to Union Square, as well as several bars and restaurants. Building's a little old but that's part of the charm in staying in San Francisco in my opinion. Nothing negative about the experience.

Clean, easily accessible apartment. Stayed for a couple of nights, it’s nearby the tenderloin district which has lots of homeless people but location still convenient for downtown SF. Felt safe and enjoyed the stay.

The place is clean and tidy. There is a large common kitchen area that is quite helpful. There are several restaurants around, but the neighborhood does not feel safe at night. the checkin was troublesome - we received the wrong passoword for entrance, and we tried to connect with Kasa via whats app with no reply at all - luckyly we were able to find the correct password through a link in another email we had received.

Great place to stay if you have things to do in the heart of San Francisco.

Greta place for longer stay.

Un lieu sympathique, convivial et agréable. La rue est vivante donc un peu bruyante mais avec une paire de boule quies on dort très bien. L’hotel est bien desservi par les transports. La cuisine commune est un très bon point. On peut échanger avec les gens et manger pour pas cher.
