8/10 Very good
I booked a one night stay with Kasa at this location. I’ve denoted the information that is already mentioned on their booking page and made known prior to making a reservation, with asterisks. I did not utilize all of the amenities that were available and therefore won’t comment on all of them.
PROS:
•Availability - I was able to book the room with short notice (a few days prior to my stay).
•Check-In Process: Instructions for checking in were provided via text/email immediately after booking; The building and room access codes for the numeric locks were sent a few hours prior to the check-in time. The steps were clear, concise and accurate and I had no difficulty following the instructions. This set up was convenient for me to check-in at any time, since my flight was scheduled to arrive late at night.
•Check-Out Extensions: I was easily able to extend my check out time to later in the day for a fee.
•Location: downtown San Francisco
•Communication - I contacted the company via email and phone about some concerns I had and they responded very quickly.
•There is an elevator if needed.
•Wi-Fi is provided.
•Room Amenities: The windows have heavy curtains which adequately block out the city lights at night; There is a dresser and 2 night stands for storing clothes/personal belongings; There is a mini-refrigerator for keeping food and drinks.
CONS:
•There was a belligerent person outside shouting unintelligibly and making raucous sounds with glass bottles throughout the night, which greatly disturbed my sleep.
•The walls are fairly thin and my room was located not too far from the elevator, so I could easily hear it opening and closing; I could also clearly hear people walking and talking out in the hallway and outside in front of the building.
•Cleanliness: I noticed large unsightly stains on the bed sheets; I also found hair that wasn’t mine on one of the towels.
•I was only able to turn the TV on and off and was not able to access or navigate through the options on the screen, since the TV remote buttons were not working properly.
•There were only two usable electrical outlets in the room (not including the one in the bathroom or the one behind the TV/dresser which isn’t practical to use); These are located on either side of the bed, but are both very low to the ground, so they were difficult to reach easily from the bed.
•The USB ports on the night lamps were not functioning.
•The building permeated with an unpleasant odor.
**Accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible for those who require ADA compliant accommodations (to clarify, this was not something that was applicable to myself).
**Air Conditioning: This is not an amenity available at this location unfortunately, which can make warm summer nights rather uncomfortable.
