Great spot on a great location. Easy to check in and out.

This was a great stay. The location was perfect and the place was very clean. My girlfriend and I were very happy that it was a dog friendly stay, we were able to bring our golden retriever along. The place was relatively quiet (as quiet as any place can be in the city). Check in was super easy and we felt very safe and secure in the building. There was a pub across the street along with many restaurants within a block radius. We will definitely be staying here again on our next SF trip.

Place was clean, close to Chinatown and a few other places. TV has everything, even YouTube on it so you can watch whatever. The only thing they did not have was a thermostat to adjust the temperature in the room as sometimes it got a little chilly and I wanted to turn the heat up but there was nothing in the room to do so as SF is pretty cold, especially at night. Bed was comfortable and they have built in shampoo, conditioners, and body gels on the shower wall so you are good there. No one bothers or disturbs you when you put the do not disturb sign on there and your place will only be cleaned when you leave.

Location can’t be beat! Easily access to multiple city areas, as well as to the BART/Muni.

Excellent communication from Kasa. Room and common areas were very clean. Location was good for restaurants, Chinatown and other sightseeing. Street noise made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

Had a fantastic stay. Check in instructions were easy to follow and host was very communicative. Room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Beautifully remodeled room. I was surprised at how many amenities I had that weren’t listed! I stayed for 10 days, working from the room many times. The lack of AC was no problem as long as I left the window open all day. I had a mini fridge and microwave, hair drier, ironing board and iron, tons of hangers, and a dirty clothes bin. It was so much nicer than a typical hotel room! I loved being able to “check myself in” and not need a plastic key. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in your property at 717 Sutter Street 5th floor from the 22nd to the 26th of August. I have to say upon arrival it was very clean & pretty to look at. However, the walls are paper thin so we could hear the people upstairs and next door late into the night and it was very loud in the room from noises on the street, understandably it’s downtown SF! We also experienced the elevator having a mind of its own. We would push the button for the floor 5 and almost always it went to 6th first and then we had to push the 5th floor button again. Although it was a last minute booking it was very centrally located to where we had to be.

If you’re new to San Francisco, Union Square might be a bit jarring for you, so I would keep this in mind as you’re booking a stay here. The building overall was satisfactory and very clean; however, it was difficult being in an interior facing room when WFH for the majority of the stay. Luckily it’s easy to get to other activities from here!

Great place! Very clean and we'll situated. Lots of great places within walking distance. The common areas downstairs are great! The two downsides where the keypad outside takes some getting used to and it can be hard to hit the buttons. And the elevator at the time I was there was there sometimes got the floor wrong. Overall a very nice place that's a great value and I would stay again. If you do go check out Ryoko sushi and Peacemaker in the neighborhood.

Is This Really a Hotel? This property claims to be a hotel. It has no Front Desk. It has no onsite café, bar, or other amenities. The elevator belongs ion the stage of a play like "A Streetcar Named Desire." It has no discernable on site personnel. The self check-in procedure is so complicated and difficult that you should be paid for trying to use it! But, then probably not, since even with on the telephone "help" and an hour of effort, I was unable to check-in. As I had a important scheduled meeting in Union Square, I had to abandon the frustratingly difficult effort and go elsewhere to get a room. Thank God for the Grand Hyatt. It is a hotel with personnel to serve you, the guest, a concept totally outside the comprehension of the owners/management of this dump. I would not recommend the La Monarca to my most detested enemy!

Cool place to stay. Liked that they had a common room. Easy access to the cable car and shopping and dining.

Great place to stay just a bit pricy and doesn’t include tooth paste haha! Lovely breakfast spot across the street made it worth it.

Safety on the premises was great and never felt unsafe when I was in the building. The homeless are super aggressive in this area however.

Small Room, but was very clean and the downside is a shared kitchen and fridge. Small staircase with a bad view out the window. But it was overall a nice stay but the details I wish were more specific

We had a lovely stay here! The instructions provided were very thorough and helped to take the stress out of a fun, much needed girls weekend. The place was clean, conveniently located, and we loved the vintage soul of the building.

Really great place. Good location! Walking distance to some great restaurants and the SFMOMA. The room was a good size and came with a small fridge and microwave. The shared space downstairs was great as well.

Second time booking in this building, it’s so worth it

Kasa was a convenient place to stay, with all necessary amenities for a longer stay! Whenever there was an issue the virtual front desk responded quickly.

What you see is what you get..however it was a pleasant surprise to have a bay window overlooking the street..it provided great entertainment especially when enjoying a cup of coffee. The room and bathroom was very clean and the cover and pillows smelled fresh and clean. The Sonoma/Napa wine tour pickup location was a block away..nice coffee shops around..parking was a little costly (we parked in the garage a block away) being that we did not want to park on the street due to the car break-in warnings everywhere.

Very comfortable, clean and quiet space in a safe neighborhood so you can feel comfortable walking around. There are also lots of shops around and very easy to get to. Only thing I would change is the keypad to enter the building which can get a bit hard to press. Otherwise, all good.

Excellent facilities and rooms! We loved our stay with Kasa, however communication from their end was very poor; they didn’t respond to messages in the Airbnb app, and it took a couple times to get someone to pick up the phone when we tried to call. We had the tag on our door saying that we would like daily cleanings for our room, but no one was ever in there to clean it over the course of our 4-night stay. It also took over 24 hours to get more bath towels.

The premises are quite pleasant, the kitchen is well equipped and cleaned very regularly, as are the common areas. This is a great neighbourhood, centrally located. The room was spacious and comfortable. The only unpleasant point is the smell of the restaurant just downstairs which does not allow to air the room often and the noise due to their hood. This is not really Kasa's fault but it is an important point to note for a hotel. I would still recommend staying there especially if you wanna have the possibility to cook your own meals during your stay!

This property could not be any more convenient. It's so close to restaurants and shops and was really easy to catch an Uber when we needed one. The building is super charming and has a San Francisco vibe. The room was pretty spacious and it was so clean! Also, it's one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. I usually have a hard time sleeping in hotels, but that wasn't the case here. The Kasa service was friendly and efficient. I loved that we got codes sent to us and could come and go as we pleased, without having to stop by the front desk or talk to anyone. I'll absolutely stay here again the next time I'm in town!

My review of kasa is a bit mixed for a few reasons. However, I would say that I had a good experience overall. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was also very large and comfortable, which was nice since I was sharing the space with my partner. I enjoyed the amenities that we had access to and the room was well stocked with essentials such as soap and toilet paper. Also, although it was a bit noisy outside, the window blocked out any loud noises. But, around our fifth day at kasa, we ended up with no power in the room other than the bathroom outlet. This made the food we had in the mini fridge go bad, as well as make us unable to use the microwave and outlets by the bed. We reached out about this issue and were told that maintenance would come within the next 24 hours, but this never happened. In addition, many guests didn’t adhere to covid safety guidelines while we were using the community room. I think this isn’t the fault of kasa staff since its difficult to actually enforce the rules, just thought it would be good to make any future bookers aware of this, as it was a little uncomfortable. Overall, I think that the stay was pleasant and a good value, but there are some drawbacks to be aware of.

Great location in Knob Hill. Definitely quite loud and bright in the room. Very challenging to sleep.

It's a good place to stay whether alone or with a partner. It's sweet and humble, as long as you don't mind the occasional midnight noises from the outside. The late checkout fee was a little shocking, but everything else was great.

It’s a small room with a bed, a bathroom, and not much else… but it’s clean and nicely made up, so it’s a perfect spot for a few days. I think there’s some shared kitchen/living space, but I was really only sleeping here so I didn’t seek it out. Great location! I was traveling for work and was able to walk to the office.

The room was clean, looked recently redecorated, and well stocked. It had everything that I would need personally. Well stocked bathroom. Easy quick access. And walking distance to si much sites.

This was a really great stay! Definitely some of the best value you can find in the area. The location is really well-centralized, close to Muni stops, the BART, plenty of shopping, dining, and attractions. The room is well furnished and cozy, and was perfect for our needs; mostly a place to rest and recover between busy days. The communal spaces were well kept and were perfect for a bit of cooking if needed. And finally, the part of town was (in our opinion) not nearly as bad as some reviews made it out to be. There were some great restaurants around, and a Trader Joe's in walking distance. Easy access to transit, etc! Loved it :)
