10/10 Exceptional
When I'm on business travel, I tend to be busy and not very interested in chit-chat. I prefer things clean, organized, and efficient. I'm not sure what it says about me that prefer not to navigate the usual hotel staff trying to be helpful. I was okay with taking out my own garbage and keeping my room tidy myself. Given my particular preferences, I had a fantastic experience here.
The room itself was nice, spacious and very clean with plenty of storage, a fridge, safe, desks, TV, good lighting, good WIFI, AirPlay on the TV, privacy, an operable window for fresh air, and a sufficient collection of towels, soaps, etc. I used it all. Other guests pretty much kept to themselves even when they would use the lobby/dining area.
I love that almost all communication was via text and that they were very responsive. It appeared that an actual human was responding to my texts (who knows these days). I like that the access code to my room also worked on the main door. I was there a week so took advantage of the washer & dryer.
As I told them, It would be nice if there was filtered water on site and if at least one of the desks was bigger for working in the room.
It was easy to load/unload my luggage in the short-term space out front, and there is paid parking nearby (none in the hotel). It was pretty easy to park except on Friday night during dinner hours. The neighborhood is a bit of a California contradiction: There are amazing bakeries nearby including one right across the street, a delightful cafe/plant bar (Little Green) around the corner, a Whole Foods nearby, great pizza at Vesta, and pretty much everything else you might want or need. There are also some areas nearby that are a little rougher but I never felt unsafe.
Overall, it was an amazing value and I hope that they continue to keep prices reasonable with the same level of service, cleanliness and organization.
