The Mint House is a sure bet to get a wonderful stay.
Let's start with the cons and why it was not a full 5 stars in our opionion: the rooms are dark with little sunlight, the financial district is quieter at night, the place is a little on the pricey side, but you get a lot for it; the heater in the bedroom was constantly noisy; it was hard to adjust the temperature in the rooms they were either to cold or to hot
The pros: spotless clean, fantastic staff, the great luxury in New York of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with lots of extra space; close to subway, close to the financial district, excellent for walking tours, 9/11 memorial, Oculus, a grocery store in the basement, rooftop bar in house was fun to visit.
Great for families, and people of all ages.
