⭐ 1/5 – Great Views, but Absolutely No Peace or Quiet. DO NOT STAY HERE!
We are a group of six staying in rooms on the 49th and 50th floors, and I can confidently say that the ONLY good thing about this hotel is the view. Everything else has been a complete disappointment.
1. Unacceptable noise from events: If you’re assigned a room on the 49th floor, good luck. There is an event space directly below, and when there’s a party, the music is so loud it feels like the event is happening INSIDE your room. We called to complain because the hotel’s noise policy supposedly requires quiet after 9 PM. Instead of addressing the issue, staff suggested we use earbuds or something similar. Seriously? The party continued until 1 AM. Completely unacceptable.
2. Blackout curtains that don’t actually block light: The curtains are practically useless. At night, the city lights shine into the room, and during the day, sunlight comes through. If you’re sensitive to light when sleeping, don’t expect to get much rest.
3. Absolutely terrible sound insulation: This is probably the WORST part. Despite being on the 49th and 50th floors, the windows provide virtually no protection from outside noise. You can hear EVERYTHING: sirens, car horns, and constant construction noise. It’s unbelievable how much street noise reaches these rooms.
For a hotel occupying such high floors, you would expect at least decent soundproofing and a comfortable sleeping environment. Unfortunately, neither exists here.
Bottom line: A beautiful view means absolutely nothing when you can’t get a decent night’s sleep. Between the excessive noise, ineffective blackout curtains, and the hotel’s dismissive response to complaints, this has been an extremely disappointing experience.
Save your money and stay somewhere else. I would NEVER recommend this hotel.
