Great views, but can’t recommend yet
Likes: The view and the location were great.
Dislikes: The two biggest issues were with noise and cleanliness. The noise is a huge issue and it something that can be fixed. In this building they did not build the wall all the way to the window. Instead there is one of those bristley seals between the window and the edge of the wall dividing rooms. This has the effect of making it sound like the people in the noon next to you are *literally in your room with you*. Like, it was legitimately startling. You can even see light through the bristles. They were just having a normal conversation and I could hear every word clearly and it even echoed. Thank goodness they weren’t especially rowdy, though they were talking well into the morning hours. In addition, my room had an odd smell to it. Urine-like. The cleaning staff said they don’t clean rooms when people are staying in them (that didn’t bother me) but offered me some air freshener. Unfortunately the air freshener effect faded quite fast so it was a very temporary fix. I assumed the smell was just from plumbing issues. The floors were a bit dirty too, and under the bed was atrocious where I found Lots of dirt and a random zip lock bag with god knows what in it. Floors in the rest of the place weren’t much better. The door code situation became frustrating as well. Not sure if there’s a physical key you can get but my keypad never wanted to light up so it was difficult to get inside a few times. As others have mentioned there is also a 2 elevator situation which can get a little much if you want to just run down to the lobby really quick.
If these things are resolved - most of all the wall noise issue- it would be a decent place to stay.
