Mint Apartments have some clear positives, particularly when it comes to the rooms themselves. The apartments are generously sized, which is a welcome change from many city accommodations, and the in-room facilities are well equipped and practical. There’s a sense of space and functionality that makes it feel more like a livable apartment than a standard short-stay setup.
However, the downsides are hard to ignore. Noise is a persistent issue throughout the stay. Soundproofing between units is poor, so if neighboring guests are socializing or partying, it carries easily and can keep you awake. On top of that, the property’s location right next to train tracks means frequent train noise throughout the night, making uninterrupted sleep unlikely.
There were also maintenance concerns, including a cracked window, which not only detracts from the overall quality of the accommodation but also raises questions about upkeep.
The location itself is another drawback. It’s situated a fair distance from the city center, making it less convenient for visitors looking to explore. The surrounding area feels largely industrial, and while not necessarily unsafe, it doesn’t feel particularly welcoming or comfortable, especially after dark.
Overall, while the spacious rooms and good in-room facilities are definite strengths, they’re outweighed by noise disturbances, maintenance issues, and a less-than-ideal location.
