Likes: Location was good—we used buses and the metro to get to the mall and zoo etc. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was adequate. I wish the cooktop had 2 large burners instead of only 1 with 3 small burners. I wish the windows could open a little. I wish there were medium size milk glasses appropriate for children. I liked the double set of window screens. We did not miss not having a view. The light from outside was adequate. The apartment was very quiet. We never heard neighbors from beside us or from above us. We had an 11yo and 15 yo with us and the sofa bed was easy to open every night and close in the morning and it was comfortable thick foam. We would stay again and recommend to friends.

Great stay Likes: Quiet, secure location with convenient access to metro. Spacious apartment, good amenities and comfortable for the 4 nights we were there. Dislikes: Lack of airflow and aircon too noisy.

Way too expensive for the room. Entrance smelled like urine. Also the one night of sleep that I had was abruptly ruined by jack hammers and pipes banging at 6:03am!! I was wondering why there was ear plugs next to the bed until I was woken up. No notice of construction on the site or even at front desk. For someone who travels very often if the hotel knows there is construction - they tell you.

Great place to stay

My only complaint is that the apartment was a little dark. Otherwise, everything was perfect. The location was perfect. The apartment was pristine.

Kasa’s place was exactly what we were hoping for on our trip to DC. Instructions/directions were promptly provided, and any questions/issues we had were answered quickly. The space was very nice and in a great location to all the site of DC. We loved our stay!

We had a really great stay at this hotel in DC! The hotel room and front lobby were clean, and the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and helpful the whole time. The location was wonderful. We were within walking distance to the National Mall, which made everything so easy with the kids. It was also decently priced compared to other places we looked at. One of my favorite parts was having a washer and dryer in the room, so convenient, along with a well equipped full kitchen. It made traveling with kids so much easier. Our setup worked really well too. We had a separate bedroom with a king bed and a pull out sofa for the kids. The bathroom was very spacious, which I loved. The only downside was the living room area felt a little tight, but for our three night stay it worked out just fine. If we had stayed longer, I would definitely try to book a two bedroom suite for the extra space. Overall, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.

I had an exceptional stay at Kasa The Mint House Washington DC and honestly can’t say enough good things about the experience. The staff was tremendous from the start going above and beyond to accommodate us and even helping us get into our room early, which made a huge difference after traveling. The room itself was perfect for our family of four. The one-bedroom layout with a fold-out couch gave us plenty of space to spread out comfortably. Everything was spotless every dish was clean, and the overall condition of the room was incredibly well-maintained. You can tell they really care about cleanliness and presentation. One of the biggest highlights was the layout. Having a full kitchen and a proper dining table allowed us to make breakfast each morning instead of rushing out and dealing with crowds. It made the trip feel more relaxed and convenient. Any questions I had were answered within minutes throughout our stay, which really added to the overall ease and comfort. The location was also fantastic, with easy access to the National Mall and all the Smithsonian Institution attractions. I would highly recommend staying here and that says a lot, because I don’t normally take the time to leave reviews. This place truly exceeded expectations.

Suites appear larger on pictures than they actually are. Much darker because walls of adjacent buildings are very close; not much day light. Clean rooms. Easy check-in and checkout. Friendly staff (some are more helpful than others).

Great hotel option when in D.C , you’re not getting just a hotel room, you get a whole apartment which is great. Likes: Design. Cleanliness. Modern installations.

We very much enjoyed our stay as 3 single ladies. We managed to use the sofa top as a third mattress so with the double, sofa bed and sofa top we all had our own bed. Was very spacious with a big bathroom and all the amenities you’d need. The people at reception were also super helpful with the airconditioning, being from Europe we didn’t like it cool so we were able to heat the place up quickly. Very happy with our stay and is as described

Stylish, central, move-in-ready ;) Excellent central location and a spotless room, with every amenity and convenience I could want. Check-in was smooth and friendly, and I even had a room upgrade to a king suite. Noise was typical of any downtown, sirens now and then (esp bc so close to the White House), but I had no issue sleeping, even without using the complimentary earplugs and eye mask provided. Loved the area, value, ease of navigation, comfort, and vibe. Definitely will return.

Shady check in process despite a nice room Likes: The room itself was nice, had cooking utensils, and the location was convenient and within walking distance of the White House. Those were the main positives. Dislikes: The problem was the check in process. It was extremely slow even though we were the only guests there. After spending a long time handing over our passports, we were then given an iPad and had to do the check in all over again. That already felt inefficient and unnecessary. More concerning was that the iPad asked several questions about the stay with pre selected answers already marked. One of them asked whether to allow a USD 250 deposit or instead pay USD 76 to avoid the deposit, and the pre selected option was the USD 76 charge. That is not acceptable. It feels misleading and could easily trick customers into paying extra, especially if they are in a hurry, tired, or do not read English well. Hotels should make optional charges very clear and never pre select the option that costs the guest money. Because of that, I would advise others to read every screen carefully before accepting anything.

Great location; comfortable and practical accommodation; responsive staff. The only point to bear in mind is that the bathroom is ensuite to the bedroom, so anyone sleeping on the sofabed in the living room has to go through the bedroom to go to the bathroom. Fine for family with kids; not so good for adults sharing.

Well-organized, well-appointed, and cozy studio in Downtown DC Likes: This is the third time I've stayed at Mint Hotel, but my first time in a studio (rather than an apartment), since I was by myself. I was very pleasantly surprised that a lot of the amenities (kitchen facilities, laundry) were in the studio. Despite the smaller space, the studio was very functional and well appointed. I like spaces that are well-organized and Mint House does a very good job! Dislikes: Nothing

Mint house was a great place for our family of 3 to stay in. The location is great where you can walk to a lot of different places. Since its in the heart of DC, there are a lot of street noise from people partying at night and all the sirens so if you are sensitive to noises, might want to consider that. The place was as shown on the picture but when we arrived, we found a used fork in the dishwasher, a bit of dirty toilet and dusty shelves. Nothing major to change the room but if the host could pay attention to those details, the place would be even better! Thanks for the stay, we had a great time! Definitely would stay again when we are back in DC.

To be fair, the room was clean and the front desk person was friendly. However I can not give this room more than 1 star because it didn't match the advertisement and when we made a complaint the customer service stopped responding. The room was NOT an apartment. It was a hotel room and was 150 sq ft at most. With the bed, dresser, table, desk, and couch crammed in, we had MAYBE 40 sq st of walkable space including the bathroom. We immediately made this known to the customer service and they just apologized with no remediation. We asked to move to another room and they said no. We placed a request to modify the booking to leave a night early offering to find somewhere else to stay, and they ignored it and stopped responding to our messages. We came for a 3 night stay, and ended up only staying for 2 nights and eating the cost of the 3rd because they wouldn't modify the booking for refund any money. We spent my wife's 34th birthday driving 6 hours home instead of celebrating.

very nice place, clean and comfortable. completes pre check-in and selected the early check in request. it did not save. couldn't get in until til 4 which was not a big deal. however, selected that we were driving and needed parking. No on-site parking, drove to another about 10 garages trying to find out we could park overnight/weekend. sent message asking for assistance and never received a response.
