Mint House is 10/10!
Will only stay here for all future DC visits! Hotel is clean and always smelled great. Check in was simple and easy. Stayed in a one bedroom king-the bed took up the entire room so wished a little more wiggle room. Large bathroom w/shower accessories, extra toilet paper roll, and loved the lighted mirror! Cute little kitchen table area with 3 chairs and a full mirror on the wall. Kitchen equipped w/anything you would need if you wanted to cook-we did not but used the full size fridge. Loved the laundry washer/dryer-they are small so couldn’t wash a full load like I would at home but they get the job done(brought my own laundry pods but read they have ones you can use downstairs where there’s laundry facilities). Has a desk behind the couch-used it for a luggage rack. One person slept on the couch-didn’t pull it out, it’s big enough once you take the back cushions off. The a/c worked well.
We used the parking garage same side of the street and to the right-was listed at $40 per day but when we left, we were charged $86 for 4 days)I think that’s a great deal for DC. There was also a parking garage across the street and several in the immediate area.
Awesome location!!!! White House is totally walkable. 2 Metro stations are also in walking distance (McPherson and Farragut North). Also plenty of eating places near. Recommend Gregory’s Coffee that’s 2 doors down, there’s also a Starbucks around the corner.
Only “negative” was there is no place or hook to put/hang the bathroom hand towel-all that and this would be absolutely perfect!
