I won’t come back.
Dislikes: I can describe the place only as run-down but high-tech. It’s scruffy and mangy — but it’s also futuristic. You can’t check in at the front desk; you have to do it online. You don’t get a key or a key card; you get a five-character code that opens your door.
I suppose you could call the place minimalist. No one was available to help get luggage to my room. The room itself had no telephone, clothes cabinet, ironing board, or iron, and the desk clerk couldn’t supply any. The room had no view, partly because most of the window glass was frosted and partly because the window faced a brick wall.
Cleaning service was intriguing. I saw cleaning ladies hard at work in rooms near mine — but if I wanted my room cleaned, I had to ask the front desk. And I had to do it by 11 a.m., a fact that I learned only after I asked for it too late.
Speaking of women at work: Once, as I left my room for the lobby, I saw a young woman In a tight, skin-baring top usher one man out of her room as she cheerfully invited another man in.
