I was a bit hesitant by the shared bathroom experience, but there was always a private to you, but shared with the rest of the floor bathroom available for use when needed. Showers were clean and ready to be used. Shampoo, Conditioner, and body wash was Provided. There are two per floor so you can always go to other floors if needed. Rooms are definitely an older aesthetic and a bit dustier and dirtier than the typical hotel. Definitely recommend bringing shower shoes or slippers for walking to the bathroom. WiFi was down for part of the trip, but was restored. Was pretty slow, but useable once they fixed it.

We liked the bed, the air conditioning but they were short staffed (maid service and front desk). The continental breakfast was hardly anything and there was no staff to help.

Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed the stay and would definitely be back! The rooms and decor were very cute - our room had a record player. Pretty good location in walking distance to many great spots while visiting Portland. Cons: wifi didn’t work in our room, no great parking options nearby and had to park in an underground parkade a few blocks away ($26 a night), breakfast left a bit to be desired, and the virtual check in/check out experience wasn’t my favourite - especially as out of country guests that didn’t have cellular data access.

Mediocre at best. Which is such a shame. Likes: Stylish, great location. Dislikes: Unhelpful front desk, no cafe, no bar, no restaurant and most importantly no luggage storage. A far cry from the Ace Hotel

Our stay was very comfortable. We got a room with a bathroom that made it better. Some have shared bathrooms which are probably less expensive. They let us drop off our luggage early at the front desk so we could see the town before checking in.

Loved the decor and attention to detail. My room had wooden floors, big windows, comfy bed and nice touches like a record player and cookies. Check in was very easy and the location is convenient for down town and Pearl District.

Wedding night hotel We booked when this was the ace and were a little nervous but it was great! We had a corner king suite for our wedding night and it was amazing!

Okay for a short stay Likes: The big and comfortable king size bed. Central location of hotel. Dislikes: Unpleasant smell on the 4th floor. No breakfast was left at 8:30am on both days although it is offered until 10am! That’s a no go.

Just okay. New concept hotel without staff around. Room was okay, but not well designed. I would stay in it again for the right price, but will think twice before doing that.

Clean place, easy check in and check out

RIP Ace. The Clyde is but a shell of the former’s glory. The same lovely people work here, the design is still on point, but the magic has been hollowed out. I am sad, said the First World Lady, very sad.

Really loved this little spot! Perfect for peace of mind if you have a show or something fun to do downtown that’ll go late! The self check in and keypad entry doors made it safe and easy to use. Perfect for a crashpad or weekend stay while you enjoy downtown days and nights. Will stay again!

Perfect place for the night!

Got the king room with a couch, own bathroom. AMAZING AC. So walkable to everything. I used it as study retreat, so all the personal extras in the room were great. Boxed water, cookies, a record player with numerous LPs, beautiful music on the radio playing when I walked in the room and nice soap products. Also, I almost skipped it, but so glad I didn't. The breakfast room in the hotel is on the second floor. Very simple, but the coffee was the best hotel coffee ever. Didn't expect that. The only downside was being asked $25 to pay for a late check out. Since it wasn't the ritz, I was a little shocked and felt nickle and dimed at the end. Asking for an extra hour (until noon) isn't a crazy request. The hotel was quiet and a perfect place to hunker down and study-- it took me a few minutes to run to lil shalom for dinner (and again for lunch because it was so good) and to the food trucks. Easy walk to Never coffee and Good coffee. Will definitely stay again!

Very helpful and accommodating and the room was very clean.

Room was a bit stuffy since the window wouldn't open and my air conditioner stopped working in the middle of a heat wave, but I was able to change to a different room that had air conditioning.

Really nicely remodeled older hotel..great woodwork..high ceilings and modern rooms. A refreshing changes from the cookie cutter hotel brands

Likes: The place is lovely. If you are travelling alone, it is very safe. Dislikes: I found just coffee and a banana for breakfast.

Clean room.

Just about every thing was near perfect the building had been remodeled and the attention to detail really showed decore squeaky floors, elevator all of it was tastefully retouched. Eclectic meets shabby chic. Staffing always excellent. The only thing is that it was 105 and there was no escaping it in the room the AC could barely keep the room to a cool 90 or high 80’s even opening the window did not help much of course these heat events are not the norm or are they ? Portland and the food options make up for it just know that you’ll have to take cold shower periodically to stay cool if you’re here during a heat dome.

I’m giving this a low rating in hopes that Kasa will take this feedback seriously in the best interest of their business. I have stayed at the Ace hotel here for the last few years as I make quarterly work trips to Portland. Historically when it was the Ace I had the most incredible experiences with the staff, walking in the space kind of sparkled and felt hip, warm, welcoming, personable, intentional and like I was taken care of. The front desk staff always got me with my baggage, whatever I needed suggestions to places to go. Even the guy at the door made me feel more secure coming and going. This is the first time being back since new ownership and I have to say I am so disappointed that they cut down on the staffing services. What once was a lovely and welcoming hotel now feels - lackluster - sort of like a ghost town where you’re left to your own devices. Honestly I hate it, I hate that I have to send a text message for things- I’m here working and have enough People to text and be on my phone with- what I want is to have a warm interaction with humans when I’m in a city I don’t live In. They really took the life and soul out of this place- I feel sorry for the staff with the change in ownerships decisions. I’d love to keep coming here but will keep an eye on the changes and hope that this improves otherwise I’ll take my business somewhere that has actual staff working there.

We live in Portland and chose what was the ACE for our wedding night. It became The Clyde a few weeks before and we were a little hesitant but kept the reservation and we are so glad we did. We got the King suite on the 4th floor and it was huge and amazing! Great view and very romantic for a wedding nite. We would love to stay again :)

Zentrales Hotel aber nicht mit Kleinkind zu empfehlen Likes: Es wurde ein Babybett zur Verfügung gestellt. Dislikes: Das Waschbecken ist im Hotelzimmer und nicht im Badezimmer was es mit Kleinkind echt schwer macht.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt Likes: Die Centrumlage und auch das schöne alte Gebäude. Die Zimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt 😎

It's a very nice hotel in the Portland center. Our room was very nice and the staff at the front desk was helpful. We highly recommend it!

The location is perfect if you want to be in the Portland Center. The inside of the hotel is beautiful and clean and the staff was very kind and helpful.

Absolutely terrible, if I could I would give 0 stars. They will do anything to scam you out of your $250 cleaning deposit! Disgusting

Likes: Ambience, cleanliness, comfort Dislikes: A bit hot and stuffy - I was there during the heat wave. Power surges messed with the AC at night.
