Wonderful stay! The Davis Downtown was clean, cozy, and welcoming. Great experience, and I’d definitely stay here again!

The room itself was tight with limited furniture and space, but overall it was clean and functional.

Ubicación excelente si buscas algo dentro del Downtown, pero difícil encontrar estacionamiento 24 hrs cerca del lugar, así mismo pésimo que no te expliquen cómo hacer el check in, duramos aproximadamente 30 minutos fuera de la estancia ya que la aplicación no aceptaba la foto de ID para el pre registro y la persona que estaba en recepción jamás se asomó a ver si ocupábamos ayuda, hasta que un huésped salió y nos dejó accesar con el, para preguntar cómo hacer check in, la cama se supone que era queen y no, al final nos dieron un cuarto con cama matrimonial, el cuarto tenía un pequeño aroma a vómito…

First. Tv was not set on internet connection and I had to set it myself Then at night the low-quality shutters were broken allowing the light from the street come thru making the room very bright. I tried to move the shutters manually and dirt and dust fell over my bed The 2 huge lights on the street were so bright that it was impossible to sleep We could also hear the loud noise from the street. Poor maintenance We do not plan to come back

If you’re staying for a day or two and want to explore downtown this is perfect. Right at the center everything is walking distance the room was great very comfortable and clean. When I come back definitely going to be rebooking here !!

Easy check in and out, great location, loved the interior

Too many substance abusers in downtown San Diego make the stay unpleasant.

I stayed here last night and it was tranquil, relaxing and comfortable. The showers were steamy and the beds were Memory Foam. So you just sunk right into to a wonderful sleep. I recommend this hotel to everyone, of all ages. The prices were great as well.

The host was amazing! He wa so friendly and helpful. He definitely went out of his way to assist us with questions and parking and places to go.

Very convenient location, nice rooms and super handy luggage storage options. Check in was also so easy and quick. Overall was a great stay—if you a light sleeper, worth bearing in mind that the location is on a busy road (however, earplugs were kindly provided too!)

Absolutely abysmal. No accommodation, non ADA compliant, misleading photographs and terrible customer service. Virtual check in I understand but the lack of any meaningful customer service was gross and negligent. Closer to a hostel than what is advertised. Complained vehemently and ended up just going to a new hotel due to lack of necessities or any recourse and was offered 0 refund or recourse, since then they have now said out of good faith I can get a 50% refund; $100. I paid $259 up front for a 2 night stay and was charged an additional $25 as a non refundable deposit (the other option was something in the effect of a $250 hold on my account.) so 285 and was met with a “50%” 100$ refund after constant debate and battle with them out of “good faith” if you are bachelor and staying 1 night and are okay with 0 contact, no amenities, paper thin walls, non ADA compliance for both accessibility and medical needs such as a mini fridge for cooling medication, and no accommodation, staff, or recourse, you’re better off staying at a hostel for a quarter of the price for the experience we had here. It is a run by a third party who is likely skating the laws by saying it’s a “historic vintage” building and doesn’t need to meet the basic standards of needs. Don’t be fooled.i am refusing their refund and will be contacting Expedia, Kasa, and my bank for a full reimbursement.

We enjoyed our stay at Kasa at the Davis! The location was fantastic for attending an event at Petco Park. We found secure parking about a 10-minute walk away, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. We felt safe walking downtown, even late at night. Communication with the hosts was excellent! Entry instructions were clear, with separate codes for the building and our room. The complimentary coffee and 24-hour cold water station in the lobby were nice touches. The room was smaller than expected, essentially just a bed, nightstand, and TV, with very little space to move around. The bathroom was cute and clean, and the bed was AHHHMAZING! 🥰 The TV wouldn’t connect, but when I messaged the hosts around 11:30 PM, they responded immediately and tried to help. Although it wasn’t fixed, their responsiveness was appreciated! Overall, a great location, wonderfully comfortable bed, and excellent communication made this a great choice for our quick San Diego stay!

Overall good. I wish they have a chair and a table and proper hangers.

Great comfortable stay

This location is definitely what you pay for - it's so much cheaper than many Airbnb and hotels in San Diego, and as such the room is minimal. It is spacious enough for 1-2 people comfortably to inhabit, with a nightstand, small closet area, mirror, and spacious bathroom, and TV. I wish there was a desk but overall excellent use of space. The Kasa coordinators are great and very responsive 24/7 with helping me check in early and leave my luggage in storage after check out. The water pipes are a bit loud and there is an off putting smell in the lobby and bathroom at times, but not noticeable for 99% of my stay. The location is great

Its a great place to stay, very pretty place, comfortable, very nice roof top with bbq and fire pit areas near by lots of options as far as food, juice , coffee, grocery, common area at the lobby offer a mini fridge and microwave as well as free coffee and tea for guest, The communication with the host and team was excellent.

I like how chill it is and how the front desk person was really helpful with working us through the check in process

Smaller than expected. Glorified Hostel vibes. Terrible smell coming from the bathroom and all they did was gave me a $10 gift card to Starbucks to “make it right”. Not worth it. Stay somewhere else.

My boyfriend and I stayed for one night and thought it was perfect! No complaints and would definitely stay there again.

ok Likes: hot water in the bathroom is a basic, mandatory amenity that every hotel must provide. the water in the bathroom was barely warm . very disappointed. Dislikes: Bathroom shower rods looked rusty or dirty and NO hot water in the shower . when asked them check on , it almost looked liked they played well initially and later emailed me everything is okay in the room

Overall a nice place to stay, host was responsive, I only stayed one night but the place is quiet, clean, comfortable, I did uber to and from because street parking is not something I would do downtown but overall very nice place

The reviews were accurate! This was alright for the buck! Smaller thank I expected did not know there were various room sizes until the end. I am planning on staying here again in two weeks. The minor issue I had will be addressed nothing major

This was a great place to stay at for two people! Definitely a place to only sleep at, if you have a busy itinerary and won’t have too much down time. Great area to walk to downtown/gaslamp!

Worth it for the price! Agree that they could be more open about featuring the possible difference in sizes and layout of rooms. Ours was small but very manageable for 2 people on a short stay. The offsite parking isn’t ideal but easy to find. About a 7-10 min walk. It would get expensive if you’re staying longer than a night or 2. Very helpful with instructions, check in/out was extremely easy. Our room was clean, so was the building and it felt safe which is important in a downtown area. There’s also lots of walkable things to do nearby. Super cute spot overall. Would stay again for another short trip!

This was a perfect little spot to do a last-minute trip over the weekend! In terms of convenience, the location is great, but if you are familiar with San Diego it isn’t the BEST area. Other than that, it was exactly what it needed to be!

Stayed here for 3 night. First off the stairs, I hit my head twice going down those stairs. The room was a lot smaller than expected. It was difficult to maneuver around in the room. The AC that was available in our room did not work so it caused the room to be really stuffy and I believe that is what got me sick. Lastly the light in the room kept flickering giving us a headache. Overall I would not recommend staying at this place. The staff was very nice, the lady provided us with new towels when asked and I was able to get extra toilet paper when I asked. When we arrived I noticed all we had was a half used toilet paper roll. I did not realize the room was going to be so small if I would’ve known I would’ve paid a little more for a better room.
