This place smells like a burnt steak and the smell lingers and is over powering. The bed sheets are to small and won’t tuck under the bed and slide all around. The hotel doesn’t look or smell clean. I asked to move rooms and they said no. I won’t be coming back here Ever. The only good thing here was the shower.

It's an interesting location, just a block over from Poydras, everything is done online, I would definitely stay here again. Hotel is nice.

I loved being able to go straight to my room with my luggage, the room was very nice.

I stayed at The Lafayette by Kasa for a couple of nights on a business trip and it was a great home base. The location really can’t be beat—an easy morning walk to the convention center, close to plenty of great restaurants, and right on St. Charles. It was nice being right by Lafayette Square. It’s such a beautiful spot to step outside, take a call, get a little work done, or just enjoy a few minutes outdoors between meetings. The staff were incredibly friendly throughout my stay, and my room had everything I needed to be comfortable and productive. I’m already looking forward to coming back. If you’re visiting for business, a convention, or just want a central location with easy access to the city, this is a great option.

The A/C in our room wasn’t working and we had to stay the night sleeping in the heat. I was able to get a refund for my trouble.

We have been staying in this hotel for 8 years this is our favorite place to stay. The time we had was wonderful but there were a few things we didn’t think was appropriate the bathroom shower did not drain and backed up water kept coming through it was disgusting! They did not have fitted sheets on the bed so the sheets kept falling off throughout the night. When we asked front desk if we could have a sheet we would put it on ourselves she said she’d send someone and they never did. I was a little disappointed in this. We stay here every time we come to New Orleans and that 5 times a year!

The staff was very helpful. Vet was great!

The room was really nice and clean. The only complaint was the air conditioning wouldn't go below 73 so it was warm. Great customer service tho!

Nice room! Easy access into the building and into the room. The elevator was a little tricky, wish there would have been more instructions for that or a sign pointing to the stairs. Other than that it was a nice stay and we appreciated the complimentary water and cookies!

The staff was super friendly. They helped us with all the questions we had (first time traveling far from home). The front desk receptionist was amazing.

Stayed during the week for a concert, with my husband, it’s a very nice and well kept facility. The staff ia very friendly and helpful, the room was very cozy and clean. Valet service was good as well.

Make sure you have $50 for the parking, other than that there was no issues i had !

Everything is right around the corner without being in front of you. Very nice park square right next corner.

Disappointed Tub/Shower drain was clogged-completely no drainage. It was eventually resolved later that evening. Our concern was cleanliness-it made us question whether housekeeping had actually cleaned the tub (or other areas of the room) between guests because if they had the clog would have been identified and fixed before new guests arrived. Additional disappointment-due to a family issue we had to cut our trip short and leave a day early. We requested but were refused reduction of our bill one night for early departure. We were told you could only make changes to the reservation 48 hours before the trip starts. We checked in as scheduled and no changes were made within 48 hours of check-in. We stayed two of the three nights. Good judgement on customer service would have made the distinction on the “48 hour” rule and worked with us on this request. We escalated to Property Operation Lead-Brit and he refused and has yet to respond to my September 13 follow-up text message asking that he reconsider.

Really enjoyed my stay here for Labor Day weekend (9/4-9/7). It's an older building so there is a little wear and tear (wall paper peeling a bit, rust on a few things, etc). But overall it was a very minimal wear and everything else was great. Not far at all from the French Quarter, plenty of restaurants nearby, luggage storage before and after check-out. Weirdly, you have to use the online portal to request your room cleaned (everyday room service is not provided).

Felt right at home would come back again

It was a clean property with friendly staff. However, you do have to request housekeeping before 9am or otherwise they won’t clean your room. That was the only drawback. Other than that would definitely come back to the property and it’s about a 15 min walk to Bourbon St and the French Quarter.

Really love the location, it was away from touristy spots super quiet and felt safe. Is right next to a cable car stop which was super easy to navigate the city, and Canal Street was only about a five minute walk. Property itself is really clean charming felt historic. I will say the rooms are way more spacious than what the photos present online.

Hotel was clean and well maintained. Got to check in early which was a plus! Asked for a late check out (only 1 hour) and was charged $35. Not a big deal but I know the hotel was not crowded so I don't think a charge was required. Hotel was within walking distance to the French Quarter but neighborhood was a little sketchy at night so be aware!

5 stars to the hotel and HOTEL staff! -0 stars for the valet service they employ! METROPOLIS is the valet service that the hotel contracts and everything seemed amazing at check in. Valet was waiting right out front when we arrived. Explained that the valet service was 24 hrs/ unlimited requests for our vehicle for $50/night. Options for self parking are slim to none, so valet seemed to be the best option. We were in town for a funeral and needed to be able to access our vehicle early in the morning as we had a 3 hour drive to our destination. We requested the car on the app like we were instructed. We went downstairs to wait on the vehicle to be brought and there was not a soul at the valet station. We assumed they were retrieving a vehicle so we waited 15 mins before going inside and speaking with the hotel front desk. We advised of what was happening and asked if they had any idea as to what was going on. We were told that this is a 3rd party company that the hotel employs for this service and the hotel does not have the information to contact the valet service outside of the 1-800 number on the sign. I informed the hotel front desk that we were going to be late for a funeral that was about three hours away and we needed our vehicle immediately. Angel Jones was working at the front desk that morning and she immediately got on the phone and called that 1- 800 number on the sign and tried her hardest to get our car situation resolved. She argued back-and-forth with who ever answered the phone from METROPOLIS, and as we waited, multiple customers came looking for their vehicles from valet. Angel continued to be on the phone and try to get a resolution for us and explain that we were late for a funeral. It seemed like the metropolis representative on the other line didn’t really care and kept saying that we would just have to wait until somebody showed. This is completely unacceptable and we do not hold the hotel responsible. The hotel itself is a tremendous review and I highly recommend it. I just would not use the valet service. If it wasn’t for Angel Jones, we never would have gotten our vehicle period. Sadly we missed the funeral we flew into town for. I will be contacting the valet company and demanding they rectify this. As for the hotel: Room was 5/5, front desk staff 5/5, cleanliness 5/5. ANGEL JONES— 10/10.

Very accommodating and even gave a small treat for our 1 year anniversary trip! Our balcony room did let in a lot of outside noice but the room itself was really nice! Ac worked great, water got hot, sheets and bed were comfy! Not a bad walk to everywhere, the street car does stop just outside of the hotel so it's convenient. Overall great stay and I'm appreciative of the sweet anniversary note!
