UNACCEPTABLE CLEANLINESS AND DISAPPOINTING RESOLUTION
Likes: The location was convenient for our needs.
Dislikes: Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the apartment was far below expectations. From the very first night, every member of my family experienced significant allergy symptoms, and I had to take Allegra every day throughout our stay.
Concerned about our family’s ongoing allergy symptoms, I inspected underneath the beds and discovered a shocking amount of dust, hair, lint, and debris, which I documented with photos. Since no cleaning service is provided during the stay, I had no alternative but to clean the apartment myself while on vacation, despite having paid cleaning fees as part of the reservation. Without even a vacuum cleaner available, I had to rely on a broom and Swiffer pads.
I immediately reported these findings to the property management and shared the photos. In response, they offered a touch-up cleaning, and I left the apartment so their team could enter. However, there was virtually no noticeable improvement afterward, and the issues remained unresolved.
The second bedroom mattress and the sofa bed both make excessive noise with even slight movement, significantly affecting our sleep throughout the stay. In addition, both showed clear signs of excessive wear, and the sofa bed was visibly worn and in poor condition, as shown in the photos I included.
Although the property acknowledged my concerns, the only compensation offered was a US$100 refund—approximately 5% of what I paid for the stay—which does not fairly reflect the impact these issues had on our family’s health, comfort, and overall vacation experience.
I am sharing this experience, together with the photos I took, so that other guests can make an informed decision before booking.
