This hotel has good rooms and rates, but unfortunately the hotel it’s located in a really bad area, there’s a lot of drug dealers roaming around at night as well as homeless people because there’s several churches around that same block.
This wasn’t really my main problem but because I was moving homes at the moment trying to find an apartment near by so I brought some stuff like a TV and a water dispenser inside the room. As soon as the hotel staff noticed that I had things they decided to enter my hotel room without my authorisation with my dog inside thinking we wouldn’t notice, they left the remote control in the bed when we had left it in the console under the TV. I was so furious because they had invaded my privacy with my dog inside and I had a lot of valuables in there, but this didn’t end there.
We were there around 6 days and by the weekend there was a girl in the front desk, before clocking out of her job she decided to enter my hotel room again, looking for drugs?? Or looking for alcohol? I don’t do drugs and I don’t drink so she could have save herself a this bas review. She moved all of my supplements looking for drugs and then opened my cooler looking for alcohol, she smelled like alcohol during her shift in the front desk. And thennnn the next day before closing the front desk she was smoking marijuana with her boyfriend in the staff bathroom inside the hotel!!
Honestly I couldn’t care less what people do, but at night I was so paranoid these people where going to break into my room because they had broken into already days before. I couldn’t sleep for 3 days thinking they were going to break into the room to try to steal the last bit of things I had left. I was so afraid I lit up a candle and started praying inside the room.
Finally, I was able to ask a friend to come pick me up, but I was so tired I wasn’t able to take everything from the room, I left a water dispenser and a closet rack in there. Two things they could literally just put in the big trash containers in the back, and one of my candles spilled a little as well. I tried to clean as much as possible and left.
Then they tried to charge me $280 for this issue after BREAKING INTO MY ROOM LOOKING FOR DRUGS! Thankfully Airbnb was able to mediate the situation and I explained everything in explaining here, so now I have to pay $100 for damages. I don’t have the money and I’m living at a friends house at the moment. I honestly wish I would have just called my friend earlier and saved me this HORRIBLE experience, but I was so tired from how hard last year was financially that I wasn’t able to think straight. Now, I owe these people $100 after they terrorised me inside that place, I was so upset I didn’t even leave a review on Airbnb because I didn’t wanted to think about this whole situation. I was traumatised.
I hope Airbnb lets me pay later because I do like the app and use it constantly, but I can’t just pay for something when I can’t even pay for my own bills at the moment.
Don’t stay here, this is a hotel for drug addicts and I know the price is tempting but it’s the worse hotel experience I’ve ever had.
