Beautiful and clean, rooms are very nice and the common area by the pool is great

Cute room very clean

Peppery is nice, updated, and very walkable to popular areas. The check in process was a nightmare. No one working a front desk so you have to verify through the site to be given an access key to room. I booked room for my husbands trip and it was a hastily trying to get info from my email to him even though room was booked in his name.

A short stay Likes: The hotel is a renovated motel with nice aesthetic in the rooms. It was a good option for a few days. I didn’t use the pool due to the weather but I used the gym that was decent if 1-2 people used it simultaneously. No breakfast but the restaurant close to the facility was nice Dislikes: The location. I didn’t feel very safe as a female traveler. There is no room service unless paid extra. I was not aware of this before booking - it might have been my misunderstanding so please check your options before. Less privacy if you keep your window open

Likes: I like the modernist architecture and especially the courtyard. Dislikes: I was in a downstairs room, and in the morning the people in the room above me were awake earlier than I was, and I could hear them walking. Not too bad, but not great. Also, please don’t turn on the piped music in the courtyard until later in the morning. It was so peaceful to sit by the pool in the quiet, until the music turned on. It’s just not necessary until maybe 10 o’clock.

Excelente ubicación cerca de todo para ir caminando, nos quedamos ahí porque salíamos de crucero de Long Beach y fue una excelente opción.

Great stay for conference. Sonder is always fantastic, the room was clean, spacious and with everything I needed. Coffee machine worked well, desk staff are very friendly, I was very comfortable staying.

I love the Sonder would definitely be visiting again and the other locations

Let’s just start with the drive in, passing the boarded up windows and homeless yelling in the streets. Hope your door code works to the lobby because it most likely will not. Once you’re in the lobby the staff will have countless meetings that they can’t bother stopping to allow you to speak with the person at the front desk. Our door for our room code did not work and we had to be let into it for the first 2 days of our stay. Our room shared a wall with the cleaning closet and faced the street with paper thin walls. Hope you like car horns and engines revving all night long. The room itself was fine. The “suggested” parking is 3 blocks away also through a homeless wasteland. Hopefully you don’t run into the woman screaming at 7 am. The parking garage printer did not work so we had to phone the attendant to get to our car each time, which was another adventure. We ended up finding other parking further down the road to be able to access our vehicle. Do not stay here, do not walk around here, do not visit Long Beach.

A nice hotel but some facilities can be improved. Likes: Many good restaurants in the neighborhood. The one right next door is great! Walking distance to Long Beach Convention Center. Convenient charging connectors. Dislikes: Aircon is very loud. The first night I couldn't switch it off as I was too tired from my travel to figure it out. The blanket was very warm and I couldn't sleep well. Light switches hard to reach from bed - you will have to get up to switch off lights.

Place was very nice boutique concept. I was not aware of the room cleaning fee as well as the need to schedule 48hrs in advance. But clean towels were available for self serve. Location suited my needs very well for a work/fun trip with my teen daughter.. We’re from Philly, so it was refreshing to find the multitude of un-housed to be much less aggressive in Long Beach. Must be the beautiful sunsets..🌅

Clean and spacious, friendly staff and walking distance to beach area. Likes: The downtown area is not ideal but the hotel is conveniently close to the beach area, which was nice. Room was spacious and clean as well as the bathroom, which was very spacious. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Dislikes: I prefer not to have to open the front door with an access code, but I got used to it.

Likes: The room interiors were very sleek and sophisticated. The property was very well-maintained and tech-savvy. The location was very convenient. Overall, a great value-for-money hotel. Dislikes: No parking for the hotel guests. No microwave in the room.

The property is clean and safe, with very nice staff. I would definitely come again. The only issue is that the neighborhood doesn’t look very safe, and there is no on-site parking. I parked in a public lot about a 4-minute walk away. Otherwise, the inside is absolutely wonderful — a great place to stay.

It was a nice place, and I found out with their app they have facilities in other towns I'd try Likes: No breakfast served at this location, but we found some good restaurant's close by that were awesome. Very nice pool area, building & rooms were retro 60's midcentury style decor, AWESOME moon lamp in the room & always someone in the lobby to help if needed. Dislikes: No elevator to the second floor, concrete steps only so if you have a very heavy suitcase, it's hard to maneuver and noisy getting it up the stairs, a ramp would have been nice. No parking on site, so if you have a car, you'll need to find alternative parking options, but Sonder City Center helped with that too. Also, if you are a woman traveling alone, it's in an area of high homeless population and a homeless shelter or mission just a block away, so be cautious if walking around the streets to explore alone at night.

Super friendly staff! No on-site parking but if you Uber around as we did that is a non-issue. The surrounding area does have a few homeless but that is kind of normal in California at this point, so again a non-issue. You can’t even enter the building without your phone as a keycard so you don’t deal with riff-raff coming into the safe space. Plenty around to walk to and eat. We didn’t eat the same meal no 2 nights because there was such a vast array of food in the surrounding area. Though the rooms entrances are outside, all face inward to a courtyard (with a pool, no hottub) so it’s not only safe and boxed in, but extremely quiet throughout most of the day which was absolutely fantastic. The rooms interior walls are thick so you can barely hear a peep from any neighboring units. The TV interface was so simple and let you set a check-out date so that when you leave, it automatically logs you out of every streaming account you signed into. That was a first and it was superb. The wireless internet was speedy fast and easy to connect to. They’ll bring you new towels whenever you need them or you can head on down and just grab some readily available fresh ones. Overall it is a highly recommended place to stay!

A bit challenging if an area - but everything worked out fine

The staff was great! It was easy and close to everything I needed to get to. Likes: I didn't have breakfast Dislikes: Parking was a bit of a challenge, but got lucky on most days.

Difficult to access Likes: Room had a loud humming sound from a device from the next door restaurant that made it impossible to sleep; had to change rooms. Shower in the new room had the cold - hot tap reversed so boiling water came first; staff said they are aware of the issue, but landlord didn’t care to fix it; huge liability if you travel with kids. Staff isn’t allowed to let you in even when they are at the front desk directly visible from the front door; this is terrible sad as the pin pad at the front door is neither lit nor does it have visible numbers on the keys anymore. It takes for ever to get in and they are watching you from the inside. It’s a policy. Staff is very friendly. But it doesn’t make you feel welcome!

Overall great and clean stay! Downside was having to find parking, but the hotel was very clean, super quiet, staff were super friendly and always willing to help. Definitely stay again!

nice location and room, but will not stay again due to lack of parking which does not align with $ Likes: room was modern and clean, with a nice restaurant on site. Dislikes: No parking is available; you will likely end up with street parking and most likely receive parking tickets due to its location in a major city center. This does not align with the price of the room; there were homeless on every corner, the WIFI did not work, and this was a business trip. The main entrance to the property requires a code to access. This is likely due to safety concerns related to homelessness. However, the keypad does not light up, and there is no light nearby, making it difficult to input the number correctly.

Conveniently located. A very clean property.
