Stayed at the Hillsboro powered by sonder for four nights. The access to the beach was amazing, the beach was under revitalization for two days but we were able to be out the other two days. Chairs and umbrellas are charged at $15/day each. Parking is valet and $25/day. Room cleanings also cost, however we did not opt in for one. There is a nice public beach a 15 minute walk away. There is an onsite restaurant that is ok. Most dining is about a 15 minute drive but there are endless options in that radius. The rooms are small but comfortable and clean. The extra charges are somewhat understandable, such as parking, but they begin to feel excessive and tiresome. Staff is great and due to the location I would probably book again.

you couldn't take your own coffee to the beautiful deck over looking the ocean as the attached restaurant wouldn't let me....rather you buy there coffee. Small beach, when full they told you to walk 15 mins down the street to the Embassy Suites to a public beach...why not offer transportation? Plus all floors are open to the outside so hallways very noisy. Not impressed

Good thing in a Small Package The hotel is relatively small and intimate. It is beautifully situated right on the beach and thus our room had a balcony from which you can see and hear the beach and waves. The staff from the front desk to the valet personnel were very cheerful and accommodating. Despite the small size, the hotel has a number of amenities....indoor and outdoor lounge areas, a nice little gym, outdoor pool, bar, restaurant, and valet service. It is convenient to many South Florida attractions and is near Boca Raton, Deerfield, Pompano and other coastal communities. We will definitely stay again when next in the vicinity.

Was very clean and in a quiet area. The parking was a little bit expensive. Would prefer if it wasnt valet.

Very nice and accommodating staff and renovated rooms. Stayed for a week in two different rooms. Two double bed room nice size. The studio very very small. Zero closet space in either room. Had long gowns for a wedding with no place to hang them. Needs a place to get snacks, sodas as there is nothing in the immediate vicinity and you have to valet park so in/out is not that easy (although valets were very quick and nice). Restaurant on property slow as molasses. Also, the beach was closed without warning for some sort of renovation mid week, which was huge disappointment and the pool area not big enough to accommodate all guest if you can’t also use beach.

The room was clean and nice. The rest of the property needs some work.

We did not like that the beach area was closed. Had to pay for parking . Never had our room cleaned or trash taken out.

We stayed for four nights during the peak season. This hotel was the most affordable by far for a beachfront hotel. The location is great (right on the beach), the rooms were recently renovated and clean, and the layout was very convenient (valet parking right off the elevator/stairs, lobby right off of the elevator/stairs, and a nice sitting area beachfront and poolfront.

Beautiful beachfront property Beautiful location with wonderful indoor/outdoor common areas. Ocean front restaurant was delicious as well. Beach is very private. Pool is very nice and was an added bonus for when we didn’t want to sit by the ocean. Thank you for a very relaxing stay!

This hotel is nice, however, cleaning is not a service provided unless you pay extra for it which is absolutely ridiculous. A cup of cranberry juice is $11. They charge for beach towels and chairs to sit on the beach. Basically all you get for the price you pay is the room which you will clean yourself unless you pay extra.

I was disappointed by the food at the YaMas Grill on premises. The fact that it was the only food allowed on the beach, breezeway or pool is a huge drawback and would definitely prevent me from returning. But, it also was overpriced and not very tasty.

Book elsewhere Dirty, loud, old, spiders, rudeness from valets and no cleaning services. I got several spider bites as well. Dirty lines in hallway.

Small boutique hotel with the amenities I was looking for, I was able to get great walks in and laid by the pool. I opted to work out elsewhere, but there was plenty for what I needed if I wanted to.

Be a little more up front that its valet parking only. Didnt know that till we arrived. $25 a day parking. Also they charge you for chairs for the private beach. Tough to bring chairs when you fly in. Other than those two things was a very nice place.

Parking is a big issue! They charge $25 a day and it’s a separate company. I was able to check in at 1:00 but valet only recognizes a 2:00 check in so $50 was my fee. I only stayed overnight so when I went to check out the next day, I decided to pay cash but the attendant decided to pocket my cash , told me he would text the receipt waiting on his manager,and charge my credit card. So I paid $100 went back to the hotel fighting for my $50 back. The parking is the reason I would never stay at this hotel again as check out is recognized only at 2 o’clock so if you decide to enjoy the beach for the day after 2 o’clock, you’re paying another $25. Completely ridiculous when you check into a hotel that should be when your time starts so if I would’ve enjoyed the beach, I was paying $75 for an overnight fee. Definitely not OK.

It's a beautiful hotel right on the beach! The rooms were spacious and clean. The beach area is a bit short but I believe there has been some erosion recently. The staff were helpful and friendly; although parking was expensive, the crew managing it was amazing!

Staff was top notch from the ladies that parked to car to the staff in the restaurant. Location was beautiful and access to the private beach was amazing. I can't say enough how much i enjoyed my time there. 5 stars

Great rooms, poor service The hotel room was clean and comfortable with modern amenities. We enjoyed the beachside location. Valet service was also great. However, I could not request any room cleaning service during my 3 night stay, which was quite disappointing.

They changed 50 to park a car, gave me the wrong room, have the worst signage I’ve ever seen

Unclean common areas. Valet required for parking. Shower flooded the floor everytime younised it. This is a design flaw and due to the placement of the cheap door. I appreciated the location and staff, but nothing else. They need to rebuild this hotel.

small room with balcony good helpful staff. easy checkin. The room however was small and the bed was right next to the A/C unit - I tried to deflect the fan with a tshirt. Beautiful balcony view. only in this room for 1 night. Pool overlooking the Ocean was amazing. Note: parking and beach chairs cost extra.

We stayed at the Hillsboro for three nights. It is in a safe, nice location. More of a residential area than commercial like Deerfield Beach. There aren’t any stores/restaurants in the immediate area but is a quick drive, bike or walk down 1.7 miles to Deerfield Beach where there are restaurants, shops, bars etc. There is also a shuttle van that gives rides at night from Deerfield Beach pier area to the hotel. There were LOTS of people out walking/biking/running daily in the area (with nice sidewalks all the way down Hillsboro Beach area). The only negative for me was that the hotel is an older hotel that is a little run down and is somewhat of the motel style where you walk on outside to get into your rooms. There is an elevator up to each floor. The actual rooms were very nicely decorated with stylish furnishings and finishes. They had been updated and were clean. Our room had floor to ceiling windows which was a nice feature. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was updated and nice. No carpeting in rooms. Our room had a balcony which was a nice feature. Our room also had a large smart tv which we didn’t use but was nice. They had a great valet service which was available 24 hrs a day ($25 fee per day to keep your car there but totally worth it). Note: You can only valet your car at this hotel. There is no parking. I liked that the valet people were there 24 hrs a day because it acted as a security feature as well (being that it wasn’t a secure building). Even though the area seemed very safe. The valet staff were SO NICE and accommodating., Restaurant was expensive but the food was good. They have a breakfast service which includes getting a beach chair/umbrellla for the day with the meal for $15 per person. We didn’t do this so I’m not sure how the food was. But it’s a nice option to be able to rent beach chairs/umbrellas for the day. You can also just rent them for the day without the meal as well for the same price I believe. The restaurant staff was very nice too. The view was spectacular being right on the beach. The beach was great and was a private beach which is so nice. No rif raf like Deerfield Beach down the road. Pool looked nice but we didn’t spend any time there. They provided pool towels that could be used at the beach as well. The service at the hotel was great from everyone like I stated above. Everyone was VERY FRIENDLY and accommodating. It was a very busy hotel with a lot of people staying there while we were there and lots of people coming and going. Lots of kids there and some people even had their dogs (pet friendly). I would definitely stay again.
