Nice location, friendly staff, tiny rooms, otherwise nice.

The room was not great no access to the outside could not open the window. Extra charge for cleaning the room. $25 a day to park was expensive.

We loved the beach views and easy access to see the ocean from the lobby. The hotel has pretty decoration all around, with light colors and chick vibes. Parking is not the easiest, it is valet, so plan for additional cost. We decided to go to dinner before we got into our room because we didn’t want to wait for the car to be pulled from valet, which was fine, just a bit of planning on our part. Beds were low, but worked perfectly for us because we had a wheelchair user. There’s no ramp to the beach for a wheelchair, but that’s very hard to find anywhere we go anyways. We didn’t try the food from the restaurant, hopefully next time! Staff was very nice and helpful.

Just spent eight nights offered up 3 stars, I could get to 4stars with a little help from the front desk. Great view, pool and beach. Valet people wear wonderful, hard for me to say as I paid more for parking than renting the car. After learning the coffee maker, it was good (no instructions). It was in a cubby hole very hard to put water into rear of machine. No problem getting refills. Upon arrival I was told ice maker on fourth floor, Ok I'm on third. Filtered water on second floor. That means to me don't drink the water. So, first morning I ask the desk yeah filtered water is a drinking fountain. No container to fit under the flow of fountain. Mentioned to a maid and she gave me two bottled waters. The snob at the front desk did not offer. Maids nice thru out the stay. Everything thru Sonder is a request in an App hard to get used to but turned out OK. You cannot even call the desk or property. I think that's why the morning desk did not seem very helpful not their description. Once you learn that it's a take care of yourself property it's OK. For the room it was very clean great view. Bed comfortable. But no storage no dresser. The closet shown in picture was double wide with a door. Not our room. About 16 inches wide no door. They need some scattered hooks throughout the room at least. Has suitcase holders and that's how you are going to live. Out of a suitcase.

I stayed at this property for spring break. It is very convenient if you have a car. I loved that its only a 30 minute drive from Fort Lauderdale for the night life, and loved that during the day we could enjoy the peaceful private beach and pool away from the chaos of Fort Lauderdale.

Common areas not clean, chair cushions stained, tables dirty, floors dirty. Requested a king room with balcony. Was given handicap room with a handicap bathroom, all one big area shower, toilet,sink combined. Initial check in room was not ready, check in was 4:00 arrived 4:45. returned for a second check in two days later, asked to check in a few minutes early and they were going to charge for early check in. Not very accommodating at the front desk. We stayed here two years ago and it was much nicer. Property has deteriorated. We have friends that live close by so we chose this place so we could walk back & forth. May consider staying somewhere else next time.

Awesome extremely pleasant

Always enjoy staying at Sonder properties, and the Hillsborough Beach location did not disappoint. Clean facilities with great views (balcony room) and amazing beach, great place to unwind.

Stay at sonder Hillsboro Staff always friendly. Room is spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable. Parking attendants are Great. Ocean front property is beautiful. We have stayed there 4 times this winter. When you arrive at night it seems a little sketchy because the hallways are not well lit and very bare bones. During the day the feeling is different.

No Bones about it. Interesting Concept. Great Spot on the beach just hundreds of yards from mega million dollar Hillsboro Mansions. Beach was beautiful. Rooms are tiny. Very little service. Good for college kids and location. Far from Luxe.

We just got back from Hillsboro by Sonder and writing this review was one of the first things I am doing. We enjoyed our stay immensely. We were booked for three nights, and were supposed to move on to another part of Florida for another three nights. Unfortunately, my husband did not feel well and was not up for the trip. Michelle, at the front desk was so amazing, and although the hotel was pretty much booked, she figured out a way that we could stay. She found one room where we could stay one night and another room where we could stay the remaining two nights. Hillsboro by Sonder is located just about two miles down the road from the busy part of Deerfield Beach. It is on the beach, but much more peaceful than the center of town where all the bars and restaurants are. There is a very nice pool with enough lounge chairs to accomodate their guests. You can also rent lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach. They have a small indoor/outdoor restaurant which is very nice for breakfast and light bites. They have valet parking and you can text them when you are ready to leave the premises so that your car is ready to waiting and ready to go. We had the opportunity to stay in three rooms. The first was actually a little apartment without a kitchen, but with a balcony and panoramic views. The second was also beautiful with a nice balcony and partial oceanview. The third was kind of small with no view or balcony. The first two were very clean. All were modern and nice.

This place is magnificent

I stayed for 11 days. The staff was great and having the valet service made my comings and goings seamless. Their process was so easy. There were plenty of lounging areas outside both covered and by the pool. It was the break I needed to escape the snow-globe of my hometown. I’ll be back

Nice on-beach location. However, the beach was closed the entire time we were there. They do not clean their rooms, expect to do that yourself or incur a fee. Not enough space around pool to accommodate guests. People were going down and standing in line in the morning to secure a sun bed, and would then hold it all day so that others could not use them.

Beach Access , very friendly staff, let us stay on the property after checkout, pool and beach area well maintained, Unexpected construction around the area made travel a bit slow, and a bit noisy, but not too bad. Hotel was not walkable to much, coffee didn't work on the first morning and restaurant wouldn't provide coffee. Housekeeping was good but app didn't work for me to book them in time.

I liked the location of the property and the staff were very kind. The beach was a walk away, and the room was clean and comfortable.

Our room was spacious but we definitely noticed an odour once we walked into it. Was nice to have a kitchen (fridge, coffee maker) but there’s no plates, no cutlery, no cups. This hotel is on the beach but there is absolutely nothing in the area that’s walking distance ie cafe, convenience store, etc.

I did not like how the beach is private and i could not go for a walk along the beach.

Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. Despite booking an ocean-view room, we encountered a significant issue with roaches throughout the space. Due to the persistent infestation, we ultimately decided to check out a day earlier than planned. This was an extremely frustrating experience, and we hope management takes immediate action to improve cleanliness and pest control!

Terrible You should’ve told us about the sand being replaced before we goes there! I feel the price was not worth it without the private beach

Very upsetting stay, booked this place just because of beach access All of sudden , a night before stay got an email from sonder, beach closed and they had "no idea" it was happening , so no beach 😕 Also room had a balcony, asked for a partial ocean view, got a view on a parking lot and a second floor walk way! Also bathroom wasn't clean , shower had someone's hair on the WALL ! No smart TV , (in 2025 ?!) have to watch cable I'm not going back there you can try, maybe will have a better luck Not a good stay
