So the unit itself was fine. It was FILTHY when we arrived and our dishwasher was broken, so, we had to clean the kitchen and every single dish, glass, pot, and piece of silverware ourselves, but it was fine. The reason I’m leaving this review is because of how we were treated.
We were accused of smoking in the unit. When I explained that my wife had been cooking breakfast, went to do something else, and accidentally burnt some bacon, we were essentially accused of lying. When I asked Kris, who emailed and called me to accuse us of smoking, to send someone out to verify we had done no such thing, he refused. He threatened that we would be charged for smoking, and banned from Kasa. Again, we accidentally burnt bacon.
I was here for work, my wife came along as she works remotely. Neither of us are smokers, and neither of us are liars. I have to say, I do feel we were treated this way because of our race. If you’re Black (or someone that finds that type of behavior abhorrent) and in Minneapolis for work, or leisure, I’d stay somewhere else.
