My favorite place to stay

It’s really airbnb like. You have a mini apartment. Access to the facility was safe, secure, and easy. The location was amazing. Having a washer/dryer was nice for a long stay. They offered all amenities one would need; plates, cups, microwave, stove, soap, laundry detergent, wifi and the ability to chromecast. It was amazing and i recommend.

Except for the staff, this was easily the worst experience I have had in a hotel. The entire building smelled (strongly) of trash and sewer that was being covered up by cleaning product and air freshener. The floors were constantly sticky, the doors to the rooms had a 2" gap at the bottom (not great for privacy or security), the windows were essentially not there. Street noise was audible through earplugs and with a sound machine on at full volume. Finally, there was a fire alarm that went off for ~2 min every night. After it went off, it beeped every 5 seconds until someone came and changed the battery.

The property had everything I needed to enjoy my time there including a full kitchen with all the appliances. It was bright and spacious and I felt like I was in my own apartment. It is my "go to" the next time I'm in San Diego!

Great space right in the heart of downtown. Everything you need and nothing you don’t! Perfect for travelers who want to go to a baseball game or experience the nightlife of the Gaslamp quarter

Absolutely loved the unit! Right in the middle of Gaslamp, very vibrant and colorful nightlife, locals super friendly

Didn't like that I didn't have access to view tv without having a streaming service (which I do not) so I couldn't watch the tv. Clubs and restaurants and active entertainment below room until early morning hours every night.

Our elevator didn't work at one point and we woke up at 2:30 am to very loud noise on our last night that sounded like gun shot sounds like 4 times and I downloaded the app for the tv and an escort service charged my card immediately for 39.99 so I had to cancel my card because of it..

宿泊施設に関しては家のようで非常に満足でした。 満足している点は、 ◆部屋が広かったこと ◆台所のカトラリー系が充実していたこと ◆宿泊者はランドリーが無料で使えること 　（乾燥機もあり、洗剤もありました。） 少し残念だったことは ◆エレベーターが遅いこと ◆ダウンタウンのメインストリート内にあるので、夜な夜な騒音がすごいです。 ちなみに、隣接するクラブは朝方4時頃まで騒がしかったです。 （そのため、善意で寝室に耳栓がありました。） ◆シャワーのみでバスタブはありません。 また、私たちはペトコパークに野球観戦に行きましたが、徒歩圏内です。（10分ほど） しかしながら、フロントデスクがない施設になるので（しかし、チャットで常時やりとりは可能です）早めのチェックインが不可、荷物だけ預けたり等が不可など不便を感じることもありました。 （ただし、交渉したら30ドルで対応は可能と言われました。） 個人的には騒音以外は満足していますが若い人向けの宿泊施設かなと思います。 ちなみにクラブに関しては毎日朝方まで賑やかでした。 旅行中で疲れているので寝れましたが、気になる人はねれない等あるかもしれませんのでお気をつけてください。

It was clean, quiet and everything was near by. Loved my stay

I like the location and it is comfort.

Unique stay. Can be noisy depending on the side of the building you are on. Room is decently equipped, and overall makes for a great weekend getaway to enjoy gaslamp.

Anyone leaving negative reviews of this place clearly didn’t do their research. This location is in the heart of the entertainment district in Gaslamp. It is surrounded by noise and nightlife. We celebrated a 21st birthday and we had a wonderful stay. Perfect size and location for my girlfriend and myself. This is not a business hotel or a place for kids. More Airbnb style, but again we loved it. A/C here is amazing, bathroom and shower was nice compared to more expensive hotels. Sound machine was a nice provided touch if you wanted to drown out some noise. The app and check in process was smooth and simple. We had no issues getting in the building or our room. Only reason I don’t leave 5 stars is because parking and toting your bags across the city was a pretty much figure it out situation. Other than that we had a great time and saved a ton of money compared to the local competition.

This location was perfect! And the price for my stay was very reasonable for it being in the middle of downtown San Diego. Also, it was more than just a room. It felt like a mini apartment and already came with everything you would need (cutlery, cups, pans to cook ect). 10/10 would recommend.

I would not recommend anyone stay there. As a solo female traveler I did not feel safe in this weird nondescript building. I walked away and got a different hotel. And if you have lots of luggage then have fun taking it down the sidewalk cause the road is closed and you are trying to locate the correct building . Expedia could not get my money back and Sonder was a pain to work with. Don’t stay!

DON’T stay! As a single female I did not feel safe and tried to cancel my reservation on the spot which they would not grant. The hotel is not marked Sondo hotel, it’s on a closed street, so if you have lots of luggage then have fun hauling it to the door. And no reception, all electronic sign in. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Keep looking for other hotels!

Très bien situé dans Gaslamp, cuisine bien équipée, (pas de congélateur pour les glaçons), directement dans l’action pour sortir le soir, propre mais manque de fenêtres. Pas de problèmes pour la réservation et le Check in, bien organisé. Bruyant. Dormir avec des bouchons et la clime pour couper le bruit.

Great room. Loved the kitchenette. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Noise level was high but not unbearable. I used the supplied ear plugs. Location was perfect as it was close to confercenter and restaurants.

Excellent location, but check-in felt a little clunky. I didn't realize they didn't have a lobby and it was more of an AirB&B style check-in. The customer service people were very helpful and quick to respond when texting the help #. Beds are very firm. If we come back to SD, we would consider staying here again because the location on 5th was so outstanding.

We did not expect that we could not drive right up in front of the property and drop off our luggage. The street is blocked off for construction as well as tourism & it was blocked off the whole time we were there and we were there for five days. When we arrived, the parking was about a six minute walk away which is not bad. It was extremely crowded because it was a Friday night, & the Padres game was in full force, and there are tons of bars and restaurants in the gaslamp district. It is not a place to stay if you were looking for luxury or peace & quiet. It is bustling at every moment, & the nightlife is prominent! We warmed up to it the second day because we could walk everywhere, & we loved the old town trolley tour that was nearby and all of the street Vendors . It was a lot of fun but it is definitely a party scene. If you are a light sleeper, do not even consider this hotel. We can sleep through anything so we were fine, but it is loud all night long and all day long as well. We loved some of the restaurants nearby. The werewolf restaurant was exceptional for breakfast! There was one across the street I think it was called the rustic root that was phenomenal! The room is getting tired, & does not look quite as pretty as the pictures, but the bed was comfortable and everything was there that you need. On your first day, you have to do the old town trolley tour! This is a must for your first day you have to do the trolley! You will learn everything you can do locally!

The property was in a great location in the middle of all the actions. Walking distance from the Padres stadium.

Incompetent staff double booked the room and gave it away to the person who booked it After I did. Refused to do anything to accommodate me.

DO NOT STAY HERE This isn’t a hotel, it’s an airbnb masquerading as a hotel. There is no on-site staff or amenities. We had to walk to find a cafe with Wi-Fi in order to check in to our rooms. And the icing on the cake is that you’re next door to a club which plays bass-heavy music until 2am. Please do yourself a favor and choose another location to stay.

Os: Directly in party district, cons: very noisy all night

I just finished my stay at this place for 6 nights to attend a conference at the san diego convention center. I was happy with most of the aspects of the place. It was clean and well equipped with all things even including sponge for dish washing. It was fairly priced. But it was a bit hard to get away from the noise issue. My room was on the second floor facing the 5th street adjacent to the Mexican restaurant in the next building the main source of the noise until 2 am. Ear plugs helped but were not complete. Conclusively if you are a party person and visiting San Diego for fun especially for night parties, it should be a perfect place to stay. But you are sensitive to noises, it should be safer to find another place.

Absolutely a horrible place to stay......We were even evacuated on our last night at 3 AM due to Carbon Monoxide poisoning risk....Of course, there is NO MANAGER on site nor anyone that could come and help. I was assigned to another SONDER room on a separate hotel at 3 AM ....when I got there, i discovered my room was on the fourth floor......and the elevator was not working. Check in is so troublesome...their system had told me that I was done with my check in process....just to find out when I am in front of the hotel that I still had steps to complete before they would allow me in. Once I was in I was disgusted by the hallways....it is simply filthy. Dirty floors, foul smells and loud noises until 3-4 AM! I am now trying to rest......but there is so much noise from the unit above...it is unbearable. The WORST part..there is nothing you can do, there is nobody to talk to, nor to help you. I do not give zero stars simply because the system does not allow it Cherry on the cake.......they charged me 25$ USD more to do an early check in two hours before .....it was obvious the room was ready. It is just a way to squeeze more $$ out of guests. Simply shameless

The photos I posted was what I saw and experienced. It was pretty clean and decent. Air conditioning was great. I didn't feel like I wasn't safe. The location is in the heart of downtown. For my purposes, it worked well. I was walking distance to the places I wanted to go to. Now the caveats, Apparently the mezzanine floor opens to the second floor of the Havana. Met an employee of the Havana using the elevator as she was carrying a number of heavy plates. So you've literally got a direct line to the place! Whether that's good or bad, you have to judge. I'm literally writing this as the fire/smoke alarm detector is continuously going at... room 21(?), since earlier than 6am. Woke me up, I opened the door, saw firemen, they checked on it. They couldn't get in, looked like no one was there?? Asked me if the alarm was going in my room, I said no, they checked the room again, and left. They evaluated it as maybe some faulty wiring or something, I don't know the details, amd I didn't ask. I sent Sonders, text messages and a phone call early on to inform them of what's up. Got replies that they've informed colleagues, but it's still going. So no one is coming or it's not too important for them maybe? Not angry, things happen. Maybe a little annoyed as I wanted to sleep in. But, that beeping gets under your skin. I am disappointed that it has taken a few hours and no one has checked on it.
