Let me start this by saying the physical characteristics of the hotel were above and beyond. Very clean, spacious, quiet rooms, comfortable beds, good hot water pressure.
However, the service and clarity of the hotel is where Kasa fell short.
When I first checked into my room, there was no garage pass which I had paid for, tried to call the front desk and no answer. So I get on a “chat” on their website. After an hour of going back and fourth we finally put it together that my room didn’t come with a garage door opener so I had to move rooms. On top of that “Building 1” and “Building 2” are not labeled so it can be confusing as to figure out where to park and which door to enter into.
All of this confusion could be sorted with a 30 second conversation if they just had one single person working a front desk. I understand the whole “tech forward” concept but, they will need more signage, and easier communication with their staff if this is going to work.
Upon trying to check out it took me 20 minutes to figure out where the drop box was, it’s in a terrible location. I tried to go to the leasing office across the street and both doors were locked. It’s as if Kasa wants to make it as hard as possible to check in and out. It’s bizarre. Finally I found a maintained worker and he showed me what needed to be done. Again, signage would have helped tremendously. OR, one singular front desk person could have literally saved me 2 to 3 hours of my time.
The hotel was nice once I was inside but logistically it was awful.
