Buyer beware. This place is a weird ghost hotel that doesn't have a front desk, and EVERYTHING is managed offsite via texting. The only staff I encountered were two dudes who apparently just wander around with an iPad. I had a very negative experience and checked out early.
At the 4pm check-in time I received a text that the previous guest left my room in very poor condition, and that they were upgrading me to a new room. The text contained the access code and room number. I had to park ($55/night, on top of $250/night for the room) and scraped my car cresting the extremely steep ramp to the small underground parking lot. The lot is "first come first serve" meaning you're not guaranteed a spot even though you're paying to park.
The lack of front desk or staff made the hotel feel very empty and uncomfortable. I didn't see a single guest or employee until I went up to my assigned room and found a housekeeper mopping the place. I was confused, I thought they would at least upgrade me to a prepared room. She told me my room would be ready in 10 minutes, it was already 4:30 and I was very frustrated but I said OK and went down to the "lobby" (two chairs in front of an elevator) to wait.
The aforementioned two dudes wandering around with an iPad stepped off the elevator and seemed surprised to see me. They asked if I knew about my new room. I said I was waiting for it to be cleaned. Apparently, the text was for my old room. I never received a text for my new access code and new room. They took me to my new room and had to let me in with the master code because my access code didn't work. They finally texted a new access code after I was inside.
Here's the kicker - after all this trouble and miscommunication, they said I would have to vacate the new room by 11am and *move back into the room I originally booked!* I was only staying two nights, that seemed ridiculous. The staff member mentioned that they had to repaint the walls in the old room, does that mean I was supposed to sleep with wet paint? I didn't stay to find out. The room was superficially nice but all the materials were cheap and the kitchen lacked supplies. I arrived at sunset and the first thing I noticed was that the windows were filthy and caked in dirt and streaks, ruining the otherwise beautiful golden hour. The bed in particular was horrible, cheap mattress with a squeaky plastic cover and cheap sheets that smelled strongly of chemicals. I cancelled my second night and checked out early because I was not going to move rooms. Absolutely not a 3-star hotel experience (no food, no bar, no pool, no front desk, no accessible staff, no security) and I feel a bit scammed by the hundreds of 5-star reviews. The great location did not offset the steep price for such a bizarre, hands-off experience.
