10/10 Exceptional
The instructions for getting into the building & the unit were clear and easy to follow. (I received them via text the day of my arrival.) The unit was extremely clean, spacious & well-equipped with coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, plates, utensils, washer/dryer, wireless internet, & extra linens. The tv worked well. (Because it seemed to lack basic cable, I ended up accessing my home cable channels via my laptop, which I connected to the tv with a provided HDMI cable.) I ran into only two minor issues. First, although I turned off the heater/a-c heat at night, heat still came in through a large vent near the door to the unit. Opening the bedroom window solved that problem. Second, the ventilation fan in the bathroom would turn on automatically at night & awaken me. I ended up keeping the door between the bedroom & the bathroom closed when I went to bed. The building is within walking distance of Union Station, a CVS, a Whole Foods & many restaurants. To get to that area, you have to take a pedestrian bridge over train tracks. The bridge at 18th St may be the closest one to the Kasa. However, I ended up using the more heavily trafficked one at 15th Street most often. Walking through the nice park directly across the street from the building & over a small river takes you to Platt Street, which is full of places to eat. In sum the location was great. I'd look forward to staying at the Kasa Union Station again.
