9/10 Excellent
Very good!
Likes: The apartment we originally booked for my family was replaced with two separate units because the original one apparently had an issue caused by previous guests. Despite the change, everything worked out well. The rooms were very spacious and modern, and the kitchen was one of the best features. The bed was very comfortable, and the possibility of opening the window was a big plus, as it allowed fresh air to circulate. Everything was very clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. Overall, it was absolutely worth it.
The reception is open 24 hours and the staff were very nice and helpful. They also provide fresh water with fruit at the reception area, which is great for rehydrating after a long day of walking around New York.
The area is wonderful—being in the Financial District felt very safe. It was also very convenient to have a supermarket right under the apartments, which is perfect if you need to buy something last minute or prepare a quick meal. Another very useful service is that they keep your luggage after check-out, which made our last day in the city much easier.
Dislikes: Something I didn’t like: the staff left only one bath towel every day after room service, even though there were two of us staying in the room. I notified the reception about this on the second day of our stay, but it seemed like they continued to assume there was only one guest in the room.
The noise at night could also be a bit annoying for some people. Personally, I had no issues because I fall asleep very easily, but during the night you can hear some sounds from the street. It was not people partying, just construction or work-related noises.
A thing that could be improved is clearer signage. Mint house is located inside a large building with other businesses and spaces, and when we arrived it was not obvious where the entrance was. We got a bit lost trying to find it.
