After having stayed here a few days, my short version is that it’s a really good stay. I’d love to come back.
The room is big, modern, and well thought-out. There’s a record player with records you can actually use, a full kitchen with a stove, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, mixing bowls, and (I genuinely didn’t expect this) a colander. Art on the walls, a drink-mixing setup, magazines. The staff member who checked me in was nice. The bed is big.
The kitchen alone is worth mentioning twice. I’ve never seen anything like it in a hotel room. What you’d actually cook there is anyone’s guess, but knowing the option exists is its own kind of comfort.
The coffee setup is from Fellow, good quality, a pour-over set and a carafe with pre-ground drip coffee included. The one thing missing, if you’re being precise about it, is a small scale. For how elaborate the setup is, it felt like the logical next step that just didn’t happen.
On the rougher side: the AC is loud and cycles on and off when you turn it down, and I couldn’t find a way to put it in a quieter mode. The TV didn’t work for me at all. Staff tried to help over text, walked me through a few things, none of it stuck. Minor, but annoying when you just want to watch something. There are also a lot of devices in the room that glow at night (the microwave, a couple of things under the TV), and while the hotel provides a sleep mask, it fits tight enough to be its own problem. A piece of tape over those lights would honestly go further. I also noticed the toilet tank wobbled when flushing, enough to make me pause for a second. I didn’t report it, just noticed it.
Bathroom amenities are stored behind the mirror, which is big and has plenty of storage, so it works out fine. Just takes a moment to find things.
Storage overall is generous. Three wardrobes. You could probably fit a small family in here.
For the price, the location, and everything it offers, it’s hard to find fault with the bigger picture. The little things that don’t quite land are noticeable precisely because so much else does.
